If you're an affiliate marketer you are probably overjoyed each time you make a sale and collected yet another name and email address to add to your opt-in list.

But did you know that once you have made that sale that is it until you carry out a followup campaign selling other products you own. However, you have to remember that your customers may not purchase the backend products.

There is a better way to make money through affiliate marketing, and that is by marketing a product that is paid for via a monthly subscription, for either 6 or 12 months.

By way of example, if you have a 12 monthly subsrcription running at £30 per month, and you acquire 100 subscriptions that's £3,000 per month for 12 months, which will work out more beneficial in the long run, than the sale of 100 single payments of a £47 product.

The £47 is a one off payment whereas the £30 monthly subscription, which is a reasonable sum achievable by most prospects, will be repeated over and over again for 12 months. A much better money making route.

So, the next time you are looking at an affiiate product to market seek out ones that carry a monthly subscription!

MAM,

I would tend to agree with your statement..However, IF I were you, i would search out a way to offer OTHER SERVICES around subscription agreements instead of THESE subscription agreements! Reason? Information is fast becoming FREE and Gen Y, who will be searching for BIZ OPPS will know this and are going to refuse to pay for something that they will receive for FREE!

Don't believe me? Look at HOW FAST print newspapers are closing up :)

Thanks for your comments. I understand what you're saying. I offer other services, free reports and courses before offering a subscription.

You are correct when you say more and more information online is becoming free and people expect it to be free, so you have to offer something more than the run of the mill info!

What is your experience with the conversion rate of products that are a one time sale versus monthly subscription products? I can see your point in terms of generating revenue, but if the one offs have higher sales conversion rates then they may end up being better... ? Please give more details on your experience between these two types of products, thanks.
