Mmm.
I don't seem to be getting the newsletter anymore - Britt, could you look into that for me? Might it be some kind of spam filtering? I do get reply notifications though.

MtraX,
Good to hear from you! :)
Sure no problem, I'll look into that today.
BTW - I turned your post into its own thread ;)

Okay, here's the deal...
I looked your address [EDIT: address removed] up in our database. You've been receiving the mailings as recently as today. They aren't bouncing but they're not being opened either. You're listed in our database as a "Good Address."
Have you recently updated or changed your spam filter settings? Or do you know if your email service provider has made any changes? This would be the most likely cause for you to not receive the WPW mailings.
Please check on this and get back with me.
Thanks!

Mmm, interesting. I'm going to try and whitelist it, seems it's getting lost somewhere in my spam settings... Thanx for the trouble :-)
1.19785.36323333353535.1@emailizer.com - is that an address which I can try and whitelist?

My newsletters seem to have stopped coming as well - it would have been about the time I became a moderater or bit before then.
I signed up again almost a week ago and got confirmation (didn't get a "already signed up message"), but have have still not received a newsletter since resigning (not sure if one has been sent since then).

I too am not receiving the newsletters quite as often. I am not sure what the schedule is on the mailings, but it used to be daily (mon-fri) that I would receive them. Now it is spotty, one here and one there. If the newsletter is still being sent on a daily basis, then I am not getting them all.
I do know that there is a problem with AOL to this regard (I am not a user) and there has been reports of a lot of mail being dumped because of an over-zealous spam filter there. Some of the mail is non-spam variety too, newsletters and in some cases personal mail.
I think it varies from ISP to ISP. I get my mail thru FatCow and it seems to be pretty much in tact...except for this newsletter thing (if it is being sent daily that is)

Likewise haven't received a newsletter in ages. It was spotty initially, but quit altogether for whatever reason.
Spam filter is within the e-mail client only, and directs to a junkmail folder for review; they're not showing there either. They simply aren't being received.

I got mine today! neiner neiner neiner! ;0)
The spam filters everyone is talking about are being implemented at the server that handles your mail. It will intercept it and not even get into your mailbox, it gets dumped without you knowing that it is even happening.
AOL is evidently (this is what I heard) dumping a lot of mail and not just spam. Other ISP's may be doing it also, but to what extent is not clear. In most of the cases, it is really bad filters mucking it up. In AOL's case though...it allegedly goes further than that (but again I have only heard rumors).
And is there a reason why everyone is double posting around here?

Not an issue there, it's on my website mail server account, there is no spam filter on that one unfortunately!
As for the double post when I clicked to submit it locked up and would go nowhere. I tried clicking again and got the "You can't post again this soon!" notice, and backed out of that. At that point I saw my post was on the board below the message once only, and I exited the site and reentered rather than try to get back into this thread without posting a second time.
And.... I'm getting my notice of reply without clicking the button! So there!!!

Okay, I will swap my Newsletters for your Watch Topic Notifications. But you will also have to throw in a case of Ale, because I like my Newsletter and will not part with it for anything less.

Unfortunately we send from a rotating address so that probably won't work :-(
Ronnie and Rocky - I will have our tech department look into your problems as well. We definitely don't want any of you guys to be left in the dark!

Wait...not so fast! Let me get my case of Ale out of the guy first. Then you can turn the Newletters on! ;0)

Okay here's the latest word from the tech department:
cbp: we've changed the email settings on our end so you should hopefully begin receiving the newsletter again soon. Let me know if you don't start receiving WebProWorld daily updates beginning tomorrow...
Rocky: Same goes for you - but only after you promise to send that case of ale over to Ronnie! ;)
Ronnie and MtraX: It does indeed appear that your WebProWorld mailings are being filtered out before they ever reach your inboxes. Have you checked your spam filters and ISPs? I believe minstrel had a problem with this in the past and got things sorted out by somehow getting us off the black list..

I am with FatCow Brittany, and I will get in touch with them and see if that is the case. They have done an amazing job in their filtering, and I have not seen any inkling of my personal/work related mail being dumped.
I am receiving the letters though, but not daily. Unless you have been out of the office and not able to perform that function every now and then, then that would explain me not getting them. I know you were out a couple months back, and we missed your smiling face (some of us had withdrawels) but that is not what I am referring to. So if you have missed some newletters here and there, then I think I am in good shape.
Thank you for looking into this...and I am going to email Rocky and get that case of Ale before he comes back.

No problem! I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya ;)

Good luck - let me know what happens.
Sorry if I caused anyone "withdrawal" by being sick (hehe)
Even though this hasn't been the best year as far as my personal health goes, the newsletter is getting sent out on a daily basis again. Yeah! ;)

Not sure if it was the guys in the tech department or you keeping your fingers crossed, but one of the two worked. I received my newsletter!
Thanks Brittany... Appreciate the efforts to get it restored.

Though I changed my E-mail address weeks ago, for the first time I got my newsletter today, that too without lodging my complaint!
I never used to get the intimation of Flagged topics in the past, now it seems altogether you've overhauled in toto!
Thank you, Brittany, the flash!
