in my humble opinion, one of the best dramas ever televised is Prisoner Cell Block H. Started watching it again last year... and having around 670 episodes, it'll keep me going for sometime yet.

also looking forward to the 5th and final series of Dexter. And after numerous good reports, have just started on series one of The Wire.

Another all time favourite is The Sweeney... "Your Nicked!"

I have been watching the National Geographic Channel in High Def and there are some cool shows on there..."Ross Kemp on Gangs" is very interesting and another one called "Lockdown" about prison life in the United States...check them out!

almost all the main channels' shows can be seen on their sites, like cbs, nbc, abc, fox. many cable shows also have full episodes of their shows. i use hulu a lot for shows i can't find on their website.

My vote goes for "How i met your mother" everything is extra exaggerated but in a very funny way... The best thing is that you can sit back relax and watch the funny situations they get without ever thinking why this and why that... Just pure relaxation...

There's a site called watch series, you just type --watch series family guy-- for example and you get a list of all episodes, think they have most shows :)

Live action show I enjoyed most was Prison Break. By HBO. Completed now. I watched all the box sets.
Firefly also kept my interests.

I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned Game of Thrones - amazing series adaptation of a great fantasy novel series. I'd say it's on par with Lord of the Rings movies on production values.

I watched The Walking Dead season 1, but wasn't quite convinced - zombies were nice and the setting was fresh, but plot and characters lacked depth. True Blood on the other hand has been consistently very entertaining and well done.
