Hello experts,

I am looking for shared web hosting with good (i.e. responsive, helpful) tech support and an unlimited number of simultaneous connections on my mysql database. Hostgator permits only 25 at one time and hostingzoom permits only 16 at one time (plus their customer service has gone downhill with the new owners). Does anyone know of any shared hosting that would qualify? Also, inexpensive as well would be great. I would be very grateful for any input or ideas.

Thank you very much!!
Stacee

Honestly, I doubt you will find a host that allows unlimited database connections. By default, MySQL limits simultaneous connections to 151, but this can be changed based on the server resources. That being said, however, you are unlikely to use even the 16 allotted connections even if your site is getting thousands of pageviews each hour. The rendering of a single page typically only takes 1-2 seconds at the most, and Apache will only render so many pages simultaneously.

It is a simple fact of the hosting industry that nothing is unlimited.

Companies which promise unlimited resources are either out-and-out dishonest or they will, over time, provide progressively poorer performance as access time becomes your limiting factor.

Have you tried to know about Justhost shared hosting plan? Which is one of the marvelous hosting providers? I think, you should need view hosting ratings as well as users reviews to prefer your shared hosting plan.

I agreed there is nothing unlimited in web hosting industry. But you have to know more about that which are give you best technical support.

The Unlimited offering is simply a marketing message that most web hosting companies are pitching...theoretically doable but quite different when it comes to implementation and fulfillment but then again how many of their customers would tap on the unlimited offer if at all.
