Hi

After a server crash a couple of years back I decided not to keep all my eggs in 1 basket and split my site onto 3 different servers so for example I have

mysite1.com - 1st database with forums etc
mysite2.com - 2nd database
mysite3.com - 3rd database

All 3 have the same look and feel and include my organisations name. My concern is that search engines will just see my navigation links as external links etc

Is there a way to show search engines these 3 websites are all in affect the same site?

Does each have it's own URL?

3 Domain Names = 3 URLs.

3 Domain Names = 3 URLs.
So if each has it's own URL and each has it's own content what's the issue?

The OP seems to feel that there may be some advantage to their being treated as if they were sub-domains or sub-directories of the same DN.

Ya, I'm not sure that there's anyway, especially since they aren't on the same server, to get them treated as one site by SE's without doing something drastic.

What's the something drastic:
"includes" for placing content on pages on mysite1.com from mysite2.com
Queries that do the same for data.

You could mask links by using encryption and, jump links, no follow etc.

Not sure if ti's worth it though, It's sounds like you may be better off using this to your advantage?

hope this helps.
