I have had Google Adsense all year and only making around $10 a month, I have had 50,000 visits and 15 mil hits this year and feel my clicks are low, is this normal?

Yes your website income is very low, you need to place Google ads on major prominent places where there is major possibility of getting clicks.

I have seen charts before explaining prominent places to put adverts and places that catch people attention, does anyone know of any of these at the moment?

This article gives a little insight into search and where people look when it comes to search and ads. It's called the Golden Triangle (http://eyetools.com/research_google_eyetracking_heatmap.html).

I was making less than a cup'a coffee a day forever...

You have to really test, test and test again...it does take a while to get the right placement. You also have to know which ads are getting clicked if you have several ad formats on your site at once.

Eventually you'll get better responses to the placement of your ads.

You can also read a little bit about where Google thinks you should place your adsense ads (https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=17954) on your webpages...

I hope some of this information helps...don't give up - persevere...

P.S. I know the Golden Triangle link deals with Google search results but the research not only showed where people look on Google's search results but indicates where people tend to look in general.

You have good traffic. But your adsense conversion rate is very low. Maybe you need to change the ad placements.

Maybe your niche has low price or your traffic is not targeted or just traffic exchange.

I agree with them. Your ads are probably placed in parts where your very many visitors tend to miss it or maybe your niche is just not that popular.

Can I ask you guys a question though? I was wondering if it is a good idea to put ClickBank and AdSense together in one site? Would that provide you with a bigger income? Or would just do you no good?

i think your website topic doesnot show relevant adsense ads when mean low number of clicks or you have poor quality traffic that donot click on ads like websites having many images gaming sites and so on .i think the best performing sites are download sites and article sites.

Yea, it's hard to judge what your doing wrong when we can't see the site. Where did you place the ads?

It also depends on the pay you get per click, sometimes its less than a penny too..So even getting lots of traffic results in few dollars!!!!

it's sound great... why ?? because you have great traffic in your site..
but.. there is something wrong with your page.. reevaluate your page.. re evaluate placement your adsense?? make it more nice looking.. after that monitoring and review again.. make some improvement..

Are you using channels to track the different ads?

You need to set up channels and start experimenting with the ads to find what works. There's plenty of things that you can do like blending the ads or floating the 336x280 ads in the content.
