Hi,

I been trying for months to get my site indexed and ranked on google. The keywords I'd like for my site to appear under include: Sports directory, resources, information and links.

I did a search on google using raz-sports and the following appears:

"Raz-Sports! Sports Directory, your location for sports links ...

Raz-Sports.com, your sports directory Home - Contact Us- Site Map, ... Raz-Sports.com-Sports
Directory, your location of sports information and resources. ... "

Getting listed with DMOZ is not a problem. I've contacted them. But I am trying my butt off to get listed with google. If anyone can help me fix what I need to, I'll post your business link on my site.

Thanks,
RazSports

Hi Raz,

After looking at your site and one of your competitors I think the main problem is your incoming link count. It looks like your page is optimized well for the keywords 'Sports Directory' however that is not enough. You need incoming links with the words Sports Directory in the title (anchor text).

I went to Google and did a comparison between you and one of your competitors who is listed #6 for the keywords 'Sports Directory':

Google Search - link:www.sportsfix.com
253 linking to www(dot)sportsfix(dot)com
Anchor text - Sportsfix.com: The Sports Directory

Google Search - link:www.raz-sports.com
Your search - link:www.raz-sports.com - did not match any documents.

:(

I'm no expert, I'm new to all this myself, but i do now that is the crux of your problem. Other people may have different ideas.

Best of luck,
Patrick

'link:' query is not very relevant with results.

Your title could be optimized better I did not check but are you using <h> tags in your text and you need more links and make sure you use your main key words in the link.
