Hi Guys!

What I would like to know is if you could suggest some tools. When I analyze a website I do it all manually. I use yahoo explorer a lot to check the competitor's back links and google keywords tool to chek the traffic. Do you guys use some software to suggest keywords that would be good for your site and easy to rank for based on the content on the site? becuase manually all this takes quite some time.

Then what tool do you guys use to send reports to your clients. I have used Web Position 4, that now is not working on my computer and their support sucks. Recently I've been using Rank Checker for Fire Fox but the ranks it shows are always a little off than the actual rankings.

I would truly appreciate your suggestions.

Hii,

For a ranking report, i use Internet Bussiness Promotor (IBP) licensed version.

I will generate the ranking reports using the customization option in the tool, and extract a PDF version of the report.

then i will add my observations/points to the clients, about what needs to be done to increase rankings.

Hi there

I tryed a few when I first started my interest in SEO, I also purchased IBP but hardly ever used it, and I found some of the advice it gave me was misleading, so I would certainly be cautious when finding software for SEO, as really you dont need it the best tool to use is ur brain simple as that !

What I would like to know is if you could suggest some tools.

There are some pretty intense SEO tools out there right now. They cost a little money, but are relatively cheap compared to what you would pay a real SEO firm. They still take a good chunk of time learn and use, but in the long run, I think they definitely reduce the amount of labor that goes into doing the process manually. I would check out things like Market Samurai and Traffic-Bug.

The tool takes the keywords from the meta keyword tag. as i told you before, we can customize everything. we can add as many keywords we need to check.

it it detects all the keywords your site is is rankings for?

for this one..

use google webmaster tools.. they will get you what keywords you are being ranked.

Thanks,
Satheesh

I'm using this tool GD Webhosting - Why Choose GD Webhosting? (http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/new/link-checker/) before to check backlinks and anchor use.

I'm sad that it's not live now.

Well, it really depends on the kinds of seo tools you're looking for. Are you looking for tools to help in your competitive analyses or tools to suggest keywords, offer search volume info etc.? If it's the former, there's a great little site called Compete that allows you to check your (or a client's) link against 3 or 4 others. Their paid account allows much more in terms of comparison and reporting. There are also about 10 great Firefox SEO add-ons that I use on a regular basis and have come in handy quite often: SEOpen, SEO for Firefox, KGen, Search Status, MetaTags and Niche Watch Tool are my personal favorites.

I think someone also mentioned IBP...if you're looking for seo tools at are more desktop based and not web-based, that would be the way to go. Awesome support and they usually always have great deals going on. If you subscribe to either of the WebProNews, WebProWorld or SitePro newsletters, you'll see ads with coupons from time to time.

Hope that helps. Give them a try and let us know how they're working for you. If you're still unsure, perhaps provide us with a little more info on how you intend to use the tools. It'll help us make better suggestions.

I like Market Samuri. They recently added a rank checker, but you have to tell it what keywords you want to rank for. You can enter as many as you want.

The tool also gives you an idea of how competitive phrases are, how much traffic they get, what people are paying for them via adwords, etc. and has some other features You can do this stuff manually, but it just saves time.

Micro Niche Finder is another tool I use for finding how competitive phrases are. It also has a brainstorm feature which can you find untapped Niches.

SEOBook has a lot of free tools.

There is nothing in this world that cannot be made worse for less money, I am impressed at the restraint shown by the SEO guys in this thread. If it was the best software around and if it guarantees page one results every time, what price would it be worth to anyone.......priceless.

In my small experience of these matters, the value of advice and help of any description (be it human or software) in any field is normally directly associated with cost. Cheap price means cheap results and as the first sentence of this post said......There is nothing in this world that cannot be made worse for less money.

If your income relies on your SERP go with human help not software. Either that or be prepared to have a major career change yourself.

To check keyword placement I have been using Advance Web Ranking and to check incoming links I have been using Advance Link Manager. Both are the best product for under $100 dollars that I could find.
