Hi,

Here are some Tips-

1. Use the search phrase in the title then use those keywords in a speech like way in the body text. And if possible, even the domain name. For example. Google.com/adwords
2. Differentiation between matches, exact, phrase, broad.
3. Implement at least 3 Adtext. Let them rotate for 2 or 3 weeks and re-work the best one, making variation of it.
4. Isolate keywords & do Cost-benefit analysis - take those keywords that have great CTR and put them in its separate Adgroup.

Do it and enjoy..

You might try using dynamic keyword matching - that can work pretty well.

Take a look at what your competitors are doing too. Do your ads encourage others to click on them, or are they more likely to be drawn to other ads on the same page?

What is the top emotional benefit your product offers?

Can you write an ad that touches on this benefit?

All the above is good advice! I would ad only bidding on "exact match" - that way you can better target your ads to a specific need and you can write your entire ad around that one keyword.

exact match is great but traffic will be much lower so depending on what your goal is when you get the traffic, you might want to reconsider.
perform A/B testing until one ad gives you best results

I've found a good rule of thumb (while not always applicable) is to make sure that most of your keywords appear in your ad.

Also...dont forget to do the following:

-Check your search query report
- Check your keyword bounce rate in analytics
- Try using "Power Words" (Google will help you find some)
- Paste your full keyword list into the keyword tool, and then look at the suggestions Google gives to find even more negatives..

also, this may be a shot in the dark-- but I saw someone saying that if your ad LOOKS like an arrow, it seems to perform better. I know, thats a HUGE "if" and can be entirely subjective, but it's worth a test!

like so:

Looking like an arrow? That is one I never heard of before. Not saying it is false, but .... maybe I'll have to do some testing with different "shapes" of ads and see what happens.

Power words and different text. This is the one thing many people overlook.

Do a search like you are looking for your product and then look at the ads. Do they all seem the same? If so, and yours looks like them, then do something different.

I know some people like the rude way of being different but you can do funny or just weird too.

You did not mention if is CTR for adsense or for adwords. If it is CTR for adwords you need to find the keywords that has less competition. You also need to set the time and date of displaying this ads. Make sure the country is set and for lower cost, use local currency. Google will charge you high if you are using dollar account. Sign up in other currency to get lower cost. It does not have taxes.

If you want to improve CTR then you need to concentrate on:

* keyword selection
* negative keywords
* match types
* ad text
* competitor analysis

A couple things you could do to improve your CTR are:
1. Target the right keywords
2. Make sure your Ad's have the most information possible to interest the consumer
3. You can test different ad copies to determine which is most effective
4. Improve your landing page

Good luck! :)

Test your ads over and over again until you get it right. This is one step that you must never disregard because frankly, you wouldn't want to put an ad out there that's faulty and is a complete waste of money. So run multiple ads and check your results. Tweak until you're content because even the smallest things and changes can contribute to how well or how bad your ads would work. Keep in mind that there would always be room for improvement especially when it comes to generating a better CTR.There are all sorts of things that you can do to improve your ads and subsequently your CTR. If you are on a budget then these changes would be the very thing that you need as they can also reduce the costs of running your ads. After all, it is not cheap to have those ads up and if one of them isn't working as well as the others then why keep on wasting money with it? Wouldn't you rather have a few ads that actually deliver instead of having numerous ones that don't really work as well as they should? Prioritize and you'll definitely get better results.

CTR improvement Steps:

1. Use the search phrase in the title then use those keywords in a speech like way in the body text. And if possible, even the domain name. For example. Google.com/adwords
2. Differentiation between matches, exact, phrase, broad
3. Look at your competitor's ad and use their great ideas, but always stand out from the rest, Differentiate your ad text
4. Location, location, location. What place is your ad showing? Does any research indicate that users clicks on the top 3 ad at most and rarely click the 4th. What does the golden triangle state? Is this way your CTR is low.
5. Unless your company is famous like Google or Yahoo, putting the company name in the Adtext is not relevant, unless the search is for keywords relating to your company's name
6. Implement at least 3 Adtext. Let them rotate for 2 or 3 weeks and re-work the best one, making variation of it. Now you will let 2 or 3 variations of the best one get rotated. Then do it once more. (3 level of Adtext creation) One month later after the three level creation, create 2 more totally different ad text. See if you can beat that previous "best ad text" variation. Why ever stop making new Adtext; you might get lucky one day and find oil! But is your landing page any good? “ If you can’t sell oil to the middle east, then you would have to go all the way to China”
7. Isolate keywords & Cost-benefit analysis - take those keywords that have great CTR and put them in its separate Adgroup. Watch those with really low CTR: Do you really need them. Are they dismissible. Does the cost warrant keeping them.

Is any of this step are incorrect??
