View Full Version : Opera 10.00 ready,
Finally Opera 10.00 is ready for download: Opera Browser | Faster & safer Internet | Free Download (http://www.opera.com/)
Opera 10 has dozens of new features, but here are three things that will make your Web browsing better:
Use Opera Turbo to turn your sluggish network connection into a broadband beast.
Enjoy Visual Tabs. Just drag the handle underneath the tabs to reveal thumbnails of your open Web pages.
Use Opera Link to keep your Opera browsers synchronized everywhere.

Just upgraded. Testing on my dev' machine looking at local copies (virtually instant delivery) of my sites; very impressed by the speed at which Opera renders each page (this is not the turbo feature). Appears to be around twice as fast as Firefox.

If you don't know how to use the turbo feature:
In the lower left corner of the browser, you will see.
a circular disk icon
and a little black down error at the right of it
from where you can enable / disable Opera Turbo (on a slow connection).

Yes, thanks kgun, I know. I was trying to make the point, for non Opera users, that it's a very fast browser even without using its turbo feature.

I was a big fan of Opera, but I'm not that keen on the latest versions.
Still, will give it a go and see if it can lure me away from Firefox.

I love opera. To me it's the best browser ever done. However, it still has some disadvantages... like now I'm working on my firefox - it is possible to install many useful plugins on it.

Hello kgun! Thanks for your update - I will try downloading it now...
But the more advanced surfers / companies have moved byond general search engines and web browsers;).
Since what I write on the web's surface (http://www.webproworld.com/webmaster-resources-discussion-forum/98404-deep-web-surface-web-what-does-mean.html#post493959) is open and free to read, I will draw your attention to one of my articles written in Norwegian (so use Google translate to translate the article with the heading):
