Hi guys. I've been working on this blog for about 12 months: http://tiny.cc/Fu6rx (http://tiny.cc/Fu6rx). I've done the SEO and on-site stuff as best as I can. It could do with more inbound links but I just wanted you guys to review the on-site stuff please. I've really gone to town on it and removed a lot of the standard Wordpress theme features; like archives, tags, comment pages etc in an effort to make every page of the site a landing page and not just noindexed "waste" pages. I've also added unique content to the categories and home page.

If anyone has any tips for attracting more visitors to the blog as well I'd be happy to hear them! The subject/industry is quite niche and the blog only gets 1000 UVs a month, on average,so I think there's potential for more. Content is a hard area as I dont have technical knowledge of the product and getting any input from the client is tricky.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Matt-
Afraid I can't offer any suggestions that I'm not sure you've already thought of, but I can comment on the general layout and content.

Seems fairly comprehensive. Your search function works well, and there's a wealth of information available (nothing aggravates like the famous "no results found" on an on-site search!). The blog integrates well into the general site. A series of brief, very informative videos should keep visitors there a while.

All in all, I like it! ;)

Looks good, social bookmarking icons a little big though

Instead of header banner, I see social bookmarking sites in a big size.
Best of all, I don't see any ads on the web page.
Do follow a regular posting frequency.
Overall, the blog is good.

inertia,
Was going to take a look at this and give you my thoughts, but the tiny.cc url is not working. What's the URL for the site? I'd love to see what you've done.

I did not know that tiny.cc was a forwarding devise. I delete spam as a habit from any 'tiny' web address. I am constantly spammed by many variations of www .tiny-

I only clicked on " tiny .cc" because I trusted Inertia.

Ed Hi Ed, the link should work now? It might have been a temporary thing as tiny.cc? Let me know if it still doesnt work and ill pm you the link.

I did not know that tiny.cc was a forwarding devise.I use tiny links so threads like this dont show up for client name searches. Also because it doesnt look like youre spamming links. Any chance you could edit the link so it doesnt feature the clients name tubby? Cheers.

I think your blog looks great - nice layout and design and the content looks pretty good too.

One thing I would comment on though is that there's nothing that really "grabs" me when i first land on it. Maybe you should work on your opening paragraph - add some images and maybe a headline that really speaks to your ideal visitor?

Nice site ... you've done some great things here. The only thing I don't like are the icons across the top ... they seem to overpower the smaller logo and they don't in any way add to a visitor's knowledge of what the site is about ...

Robots.txt placed in a folder do not work. I say that because I found this: http://www.icsheatpumps.co.uk/blog/robots.txt
