I know this has been asked a million times, so what's one more. Should I use the "add url to google" for sites that link to mine to get google to spider and show as a backlink? I've been told to do this. I really don't understand the mechanics of why I should have to do this manually since google spiders should be able to calculate 1+1= backlink.Or is this wrong? Google is only showing 3 backlinks for my site. My link tracker is showing around 30 sites that are active and linking properly which I am receiving traffic. Most all these sites have a PR from 4-6. I have viewed source on these sites and everything looks dandy. So I'm really don't understand why I'm not getting backlinks for these sites.

I have been finding sites that link to mine, clicking to make sure the link is active, then submitting the page with my link to google addurl. Is this the right or wrong thing to do?

Most all these sites have a PR from 4-6.

What is the pr of the page where you link is found?

Google takes there time about showing the backlinks but most likely knows about them.

I would not submit anything to Google if there are links going to the pages Google will find them.

What is the pr of the page where you link is found? hmmmm, I've thought about that. So what you are saying is "the link directory should have as good PR as the site.

No what I'm saying is that the pr on the home page has nothing to do with the pr of the page where your link is listed.

You had said all the sites where pr 4-6. PR is not site rank it is Page Rank.

So the only thing that matters (it is not the only thing that matters but just trying to answer your question (:)is the pr of the page your link is on. If the home page is a pr5 it does not mean you got a pr5 link.

I hope this helps.
