Hi I am definately an amateur and after discovering that my counter went from 800 to 132, then again from 700 to 103 I changed counters. With my new counter I can see page hits, repeat visitors etc. and where they are coming from. I am getting over 100 visitors a day and 440 page loads.
Is it odd, that after one week of submitting and promoting, with a misspelling my site pops up in the top 21 on Google. I'm not quite sure how I got there.
I did a search with two to three of my keywords and I come up sometimes #1,#2, and top 21 on Google with more than one page appearing. Never come up on Alta vista, but obviously I'm there somehow because even here with "layabrick" 3 pages pop up. Layabrick occured to me because a visitor used that keyword to find me. This confuses me. Must have been specifcaly looking for me because this is not a word.
This makes me very happy, nonetheless, my visitors are not all coming from search engines. I don't understand trackers so don't know what it means when they come from what looks like an email. They got my link off a posting on a forum such as this? or a friends email message?
Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

P.S. after seeing that layabrick works so well, I regret not calling my domain something more intelligent. Only an oddball could forget to put a space betwewn the words when searhing.
