Steve invited Bill, Dave and Craig to go deer hunting with
him. They paired off in twos for the day, and took off to bag
their bucks. That night, Steve returned alone, staggering
under the weight of a beautiful eight-point buck.
"Where's Dave?" asked Bill and Craig.
"I think Dave had a stroke of some kind. He's a couple miles
back up the trail," the jubilant Steve replied.
"You left Dave out there, but carried the deer back?" they
inquired incredulously.
"Well, it was a tough call", nodded Steve.
"But I figured no one is going to steal Dave!"
