Partition security on XP Home

I have recently removed W2K and installed XP Home. This was mainly due to faults created by various service packs and the need for a more stable O/S.

One thing I can't seam to do now, is grant access rights to certain partitions on my HDD's. To stop certain user groups gaining access to business data. This was achieved in W2K under 'Administration Tools' but is not present in XP.

Does anyone know how I can get this extra feature, via set-up or additional software/updates....?

This may seem obvious,

Start, Settings, Control Panel,Administrative tools, computer management/ shared folders

If thate above is not possible, bad install?
