Penalized on google Please help

Hello all i have been penalized on google and i don't know why. All my keywords have gone and when i search my site gmrm.co.uk its not top so i know i have.

Please help me as i am loosing business and i am also spending £100 a week on google adwords .

My site is Garden Machinery sales, spares and parts Oxford, Suppliers of Garden equipment (http://gmrm.co.uk)

1st the site isn't penalized, its still in the .co.uk index.. It just doesn't rank worth a damn :)

I did a little research, very little, and see no real reason why it should rank for anything.. Almost no links of any value, and the site isn't terribly well optimized with product sitting 3 and 4 clicks away from the home page..

It looks you simply had the 'new site' bump wear off and now its time to get to work and do some real promotion..

I have over 220 backlinks with a pr of 2-10 . I have no competition on my keywords so how can you say that. My other site which i started at the same time is still getting the keywords aswell but that is html. Please help.

You say i am not penalised so why when you search gmrm.co.uk does it not come top .

Don't know why you're saying a search for domain doesn't show it on top. I see it on top in .com and .co.uk.

You are not penalized, you simply don't RANK.. There is a world of difference between those two things..

Also, you claimed 220 links, I looked at them.. How many come from the same sites?? I see 40+ from here alone.. So that counts as "1" link.. The same for all of the other forums you are on..

So why the last 2 months was i ranking number 1 for over 300 keywords and now i am no where to be seen ???

My guess is because all those links that you have have been devalued and made worthless.. I'm seeing a PR 0 here.. All it takes is a small algo change to make a site fall if that site was relying on one tactic to rank.. In your case it looks like the forum links were all devalued..

You need a more diverse selection of links from sites better than forums.. And not just one or two, but hundreds..

Links from your PS3 site aren't helping, the hairdresser site aren't helping, as a matter of fact, I'm having a hard time finding a link to that site that isn't from a forum sig file.. All of which are slightly better than useless.. But a real link from a real would outweigh almost all of those combined..

You are not penalized.

I don't know where you're getting your link information, how you're adding it up, but you do not have over 220 backlinks PR 2-10.

You have a total of 14 pages in the forward index and 2 of those are different versions of your homepage.

I don't see a reason why you should rank.

And theres no need to be nasty. I am a noob and am trying my best. What more can us noobs do, i have only been building websites for 4 months and have put a lot of hard work in and it has paid off.

I had deleted them two links 2 hours after i put them on as i read somewhere it could be bad. The cache is out date. Anyway i hope this thread helps other users not get penalized by google as it was a scary week for me.

This is a form letter. Everyone who files a reinclusion request gets this. It does not say anything about a specific penalty at all.

Probaly because he can look at their link profile, look at the competitiveness of the keywords mentioned, look at the on-page optimization, look at/for any glaring issues, and after all that it is not hard to deduce why a site is or is not ranking.

Just like to add that you should never PANIC if your site slips off the radar, it happens often with what we all called the 'Google Dance' - I have a couple of sites that regularly drop a bit and then pop up again, and I didn't change anything.... It's just Google sorting out its data centers.

That said black hat SEO is something I avoid and recommend anyone else to avoid it too, it may work short term, but long term you're on a looser!

How long does your site exist? If you say 2 months under then thats the reason why your keywords rank well in google, i might say your site is still new. If you noticed after a couple of months your keywords will loose ranking in google page.

Are you aware of google sandbox? There is also a possiblity that your site was sandbox by google.

I suggest keep going in off-page optimization. SERP really takes you time and effort.

Sorry to have to prove otherwise, but nothing could be more wrong. G is not God, they are not infallible, and they make serious life ruining screw ups on a daily basis. There's a lot you need to learn, which I have learned from many years of experience.

Their f'd up algo's are constantly deleting totally legit, unique one-of-a-kind useful webpages and entire websites from their index on a daily basis.

They allow nefarious blackhat criminals to delete their competition from the G index by using various illegal methods, on a daily basis.

Yet, they allow blatantly blackhat, scamming, and malware ladened websites to populate their index with impunity, even after continuously pointing said atrocities out to them.

Over the past 1-2 years, their laughable Gbot has "choked" on countless websites, in the form of "robots.txt unreachable", and, "Network unreachable" messages shown in countless victims' G Webmaster Tools area. Of which during this time, NONE of the websites experienced any downtime, no site problems, nothing, NOR is the webhosts blocking any G IP's. And this too results in said websites being gradually deleted from their index. As always, G blames the hosts, but only until more recently when the numbers of victims escalate did they acknowledge the problem was real and "would look into it", but the issue is still ruining millions of sites.

All of this I can prove in the form of records going back over 5 years, but all one needs to do is simply read the various webmaster forums for countless examples of their victims, and these things, for yourselves. Not to mention, my very own unfortunate personal experiences with them, of which two are going on right now with the deletion of BOTH of my whitehat, legit, rule-abiding, 12 year old main websites from their screwed up index. Which, until now have always been at the top positions, until they F things up. One site, TOTALLY gone. The other site, 20-30 more pages deleted every few hours.

Several years back during the infamous "Bourbon update", I got very lucky and was contacted by Matt Cutts, who personally looked at my websites and said, and I quote: "There's no reason why you should ever be affected by any algo changes. I have passed this along to other engineers for them to look at and they agree. I'll see what I can do about this". (Shortly after that, I was back in the index! God bless him.)

Yet, here I am again, ruined. All because of their total lack of responsibility. And of course, as always, still fine in every other search engine!

They are very evil indeed. They have gone from "do no evil", to "do evil as often and as much as possible".

Now, once again I am totally helpless since no one at G has the humanity nor decency to no longer face any of their victims with any help, nor any explanations. They simply don't give a crap and couldn't care less. The personification of irresponsibility.

So don't ever even try and tell me, nor any of their other countless victims for one nanosecond that "whatever happens to you is your own fault". That's crock of BS, a very offensive insulting statement, and a big slap in the face to all of their innocent victims.

You have your right to your opinion, and I respect that. But the line must be drawn where one's opinion is so wrong, and so hurtful to so many. It's attitudes such as that, which has turned a once great company and SE, into the spawning of a very very dangerous monster, and a Pandora's box which may never be closed. It's attitudes such as that which has created their "no one can touch us, holier than thou we are perfect and more powerful than God" persona.

Wow! I had no idea that this was the case. I too am not fond of large monopolistic type organizations which is one of the reasons why I steer toward open source rather than MS stuff.

I will take your words to heart and never again make an assumptive statement about anything without being more clear. You see, I couldn't agree with you more but really I was commenting on this particular thread, not meaning to say anything specifically, but I can definately see how it could have been taken that way.

This thread as I read it was started by this guy in the UK having trouble and it looked to me like perhaps, just maybe, he was a little wreckless. He admits being a newbie and his site is running zend cart and he seems to have some links to some link farms which I beleive are not good to link to/from. But I kept that to myself, wanting to be only positive and helpful as I would want someone to be towards me.

Furthermore, if you read this thread it has sort of taken a more and more hostile tone toward the nice man from the UK, Mr. ps3pro, and I was just simply throwing a "Amen brother" as a little sarcastic comment not meaning to really agree with anything Mr. mindnet had said. Domain first time registered 26-Jan-2009 and has 300 + keywords number 1 spot on Google!? Does anyone smell the smoke?

I understand. ;) Thanks for your words. I did not mean to insinuate that the site owner is never to blame. Many times they are, perhaps even more than half the time. If they are to blame then they deserve to get trashed for it is because of them why some of the G problems exist.

My issue is when the bad things happen to those that have never done anything wrong, and that is quite frequent, and unfortunately growing in numbers. And when I see someone say something about the site owner always being at fault, I'm compelled to something about that. ;)

That's been asked before earlier in this thread and there never was a reply. Apparently, from what I gather, he only sent a message through the WMT console.
