New Tool Predicts Google PageRank

If you've been on a link building campaign lately and would like to check on the fruits of your labor (your PageRank) then click over to Rusty Brick's new PageRank predictor (http://www.rustybrick.com/pagerank-prediction.php).

Type in your url and the predictor estimates what your PageRank will be after the next Google update, and the percentage of its rise or decline.

Barry Schwarz, the tool's builder, wouldn't reveal how it works, but did say that it's only for fun. He wouldn't "bet his house on it."

There are lots of tools on the web like this one, but this one actually predicts future PageRank... nice twist!
When you click "submit", it does take a second for calculations, and it seems to take even longer when the PageRank of a site is really high. I think it must be calculating the number of incoming links.
Possibly comparing old data to new data of incoming links, but that would be a huge database.

Nonetheless, a fun tool to play with if nothing else.

great tool, but how reliable is it?????? What is the theory behind it, are these based on the pages index by google till that point.

I just got this message for one of my site

WHEN will be the next update, now I cant wait, ha ha, I can believe it as I donot have any other work.

Hi Garrett, I checked out the site and I never saw anything like it before. I put in my url www.astralenterprise.com and they said I ranked at #3 and in 10 days I will be ranked at #3, now I have to shoot for #2, :) Thanks again. If anyone knows of more sites like this, please let me know.

I can understand why Rusty won't bet his house on this tool. I've plugged a few of my sites and pretty much got the following results:

Is there any chance this is correct? I really hope so.

My 5 Star site below is PR 4 since I have not worked on links but get all my traffic from all my affiliate forums and articles I write.

This tool said my current PR is 0 and new PR will be 0 so I guess it's not accurate.

I did a couple of my sites and for one I got:

And the other I got:

Results: Your current Google PageRank is 5. Based on our calculations, we predict your future PageRank after the next Google update will be 10.

I sure hope this is not an April Fool's joke! If it is, I can take it ;)

First of all, special thanks to Garrett for sharing the link of such an amzing tool with us. I was also very anxious to check my future page rank. So, I gave it a try and the results were

Your current Google PageRank is 3. Based on our calculations, we predict your future PageRank after the next Google update will be 3, a decrease of 2.35%.

Now, In my personal opinion, the increase or decrease in the rank that they are calcuating somehow is based on your past pagerank. For example, my website was at PR5 few months ago, now it dropped to PR3 due to non-maintenance of the website. I think they might have some way to detect from how long a particular website is having this current PR. The longer the website is stick to a PR value without any increase in the PR will definitely be considered as a descrease ratio percentage.

Lets see what others have to say. BTW, Its a real good tool if the predictions are correct. I think they might be calculating the future PR value by checking the number of backlinks to a website URL.
