Hi!
I've been working online for a while in various capacities-- affiliate marketer, i-marketer (there's a difference?-- LOL!), writer, copywriter, and web designer. I've also been associated with a few major launches (no names, of course), and I know a few people.
In short, just your average i-geek. Oh! And, I'm always happy to make more friends, etc.
Actually, I joined this forum because I keep tabs on the i-marketing niche of internet news as part of my site's content and Web Pro News is the best resource of all of them, by far, with regards to earliest news, hottest topics and good, solid writing by the core staff. Plus, it's one of the few that takes i-marketing related news pieces seriously.
Anyway, I was hoping to have a chance to discuss the news items that are in the news beyond the commenting feature of WPN. That's nice, but...
For instance (and this may be old-news to some), I just noticed today that Facebook added an app that's a direct stream to a member's twitter account. In effect, one can twitter WHILE IN Facebook.
Now, with all the news about Twitter's monetization and optimization and the oodles of money changing hands, wouldn't this be a bit-- counter productive? I mean, it's almost like Twitter is becoming an app instead of a force of its own. Is that where it's headed?
Anyway, that's why I'm here. Although I'm still looking for the right place to post topics like this... any direction would be most appreciated. (Though, bear in mind, I haven't yet investigated the WPN Announcements section yet, but I'll go there next.)
