View Full Version : Adwords vs. Wordtracker?
Hi friends,
I am using for my site the following Research tools.
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/...suggest=Hit+Me
Am I doing something wrong getting completely different results for the same keyphrases - for example "divine revelation" and many others?
Please explain what is going on or perhaps free tools are "free"?
Would appreciate your inputs.
Warmest regards.
Michael.

All AdWords ads are eligible to be shown on Google (http://www.google.com). Advertisers also have the option of enabling their ads to show on Google's partner networks. The "search network" includes AOL and Netscape. On the other hand, Wordtracker is a web-based service that gives you the capability of finding the best keyword phrases for your website.
Jenniferlinn, thanks so much for your clarification. Being an amateur I understood that in reality to search for the keywords of my site it is better to use Wordtrack? Is it true as I am still a bit confused?
Thank you.
Michael.

i have used both google keyword tool and paid version of wordtracker (for 1 month). i still prefer google... i spent a lot more time with wordtracker weeding out the keywords that weren't relevant.

I believe wordtracker is the most reliable source, since it uses meta search engines.
I started using Adwords for 2 weeks now. Today, I make comparisons between adwords stats(# of impressions) and wordtracker.
wordtracker is somewhat ok, but not perfect.
from now on, I decided to spend ~10 dollars on Adwords to see what people actually search.

I prefer Google adwords as Only Google adwords can access full database of Google ,so result is not partial or incomplete .

The Google Adwords
Keyword Tool is free whereas the Wordtracker remains paid
Google adword gives detailed output and some extra stats

Even don't bother again with Word tracker, it gave me irrelevant keywords and i decided to stick with Ad-words. It has helped me improve my online success {by choosing the right keywords}
