I'm just wondering, there's this thing called 1 Million Tweets at 1 Million Tweets | Making History 140 Characters at a Time (http://www.1milliontweets.com/) where people get to tweet for $1 per tweet. I'm just thinking, why would I pay $1 just to tweet from one account? What significant effect does it have on SEO?

In my opinion this is not worthwhile. It is just a good marketing job by this website owner. The only extra benefit you would gain by tweeting under this account is that it may be exposed to more people.

I don't think links like bit.ly/NcYFrThPetc. help with SEO. Especially not from a page where the link will stay approximately 1 day.

Now, if you wanna tweet for other reasons ... that's another story.

well, considering that he only has 296 followers, has just 59 updates, twitter links are shortened and nofolloed, and plans to "make money" from this, I see it as less than worthless..
