Hi,
There are many alternative to Google adsense like Yahoo publisher network (only to US), Chitika, Adbrite and many more. However, adsense is better than all of these other programs. I've come across this program http://www.admanage.com. (http://www.admanage.com/)They too provide CPC, CPM programs.

I think adsense is by far the best, others don't come even close.

I would have said the best companies are Google

Followed by some distance by Adbrite, Bidvertiser and Yahoo.

Well friend there are many alternatives to adsense. But nobody can momentize their site with this alternatives as they can do with adsense. Money u will be getting from adsense alternatives from the same no of clicks and impression can never come near adsense's income.

I have heard of this Admange; a good friend of mine had good experiences with them; however, there is a minimum $50 payout I believe.

The best alternative to monetize your site is to use professional ad serving software and attract your own advertisers.
For example, you can use SmartPPC EVO (smartppcevo.com) software. Advertisers will register on your site to get advertising tools. You can control them via Administrator Control Panel. The main advantage - they will pay you directly.
Additionally, SmartPPC EVO allows abilities to earn from JavaScript-feeds (like Google AdSense, ypn or adbrite) and XML feeds (miva, looksmart, etc).

If you're getting fairly good enough targeted traffic you won't need any better program than adsense.

I have never used other adsense except Google adwords.
Though I haven't registered on those adsense, I made a
research on them and I have learned based on the user's
testimonials that they are having problems with their account.
So you better stay in Google. :)

Forget the Pay per click model. Think out of the box. I had to find an Adsense alernative and the best alternatives were several methods. Find affiliate programs that pay on a recurring basis and that are high quality and promote those. Do your research. Make sure the affiliate programs relate exactly to your crowd. All the other ppc models are losers as far as I am concerned. Sell your own targetted product to your crowd. Make it great! Put your phone number on your site and offer great service. The way to beat Google is to offer personal service that only the small guys can offer. Also you can really target your own products and affiliate programs to refer. You can also sell your own Ads. I have used Adman software but there may be better. Adsense can make you lazy!

I keep hearing good things about clickbank but I know nothing about it personally. I know there are companies that by text links on your site and pay you monthly. Might be worth a look.

If you are a US resident, then you can go with Yahoo publisher network (YPN).
There are many alternatives to Google Adsense but none of them are real competitors to Google Adsense.

How about Oridian (if your website is for Europe Clients) or AdDynamix (if your website is for US Clients) or Max Interactive (if your website is for Australia Clients) or Dream Ad (if your website is for South America Clients).

Adsense is the best provider to our hard work on our promotions, but if by chance get banned no way other than alternatives.
I would recommend Infolinks and Adtoll.
Adbrite made me mad , got good impressions but too low earnings :(

To be honest no single alternative is a real alternative to adsense, but if you use two it works pretty well. Use something such as a pay per click service chitika or even yahoo work ok, but also add an affiliate program as well such as eBay this way one of the advertisers will fit the requirements of your sites visitors

Out of principal I just cannot support Google anymore. They treat their advertisers like garbage!

BuySellAds and Adbrite rocks! Google pays pittens and who knows when they will pull the carpet from under you...

Hate to say this but nothing beats Adsense. Best alternative is affiliate offers. Try pepperjam.

Adsense is the generic solution. Best alternative is to sell something for site's niche. Use affiliate programs.

In example, if you have a forum with webmasters you can sell hosting, templates, scripts.

Adsense is a good system, but there are others that offer no less favorable terms.

I like BizzClick.com too. Good support, and bids for keywords are high.
Statistics by the way, better than Adsense. You can view the origin of each game.
I work with BizzClick for several months. And continue...

I never used adsense, the other ads are almost the same, the problem is the traffic, you must have high traffic site if you want to get profit.

There's a UK-based service called Message Space http://www.messagespace.co.uk/
They have a limited demographic, however.
