Google Local Search Beta Launch

Hey, I've been playing around with Google's new local search tool and I'm working on an article.

Any thoughts on it? Anyone tested it out so far?

I love it!
It is much more 'brick & mortar' business related but this could become an invaluable service. I only hope that Google starts making their tools known to the public. So many of their beta projects go unrecognized by the general public for far to long.

Seems like a great idea. I was really keen to try it out.. but ooops! I don't have residence in the United States! :o)
I guess the "beta" version needs to be focussed on a limited area of the Internet... but I sincerely hope that the "local" search will be made available in other countries, and not only the US.
