Hi Everyone,

I would appreciate any feedback you have on the design of my site.
(I'm the producer of this movie, and the provider of the content here, not the actual coder of everything on the site.)

There are potentially a couple of issues (besides what you may find doesn't work for you), which are:

1) The trailer and music clips were "coded" and play with an earlier version of Quicktime. I'm not sure if they work with later versions of Quicktime. (Not necessary to watch the whole trailer or listen to all the music clips; just want to make they're viewable to all.)

2) I am working with someone now to "optimize" the site, for the search engines to find it, so I'm curious what others think, who know or are good with this aspect. (It's only recently been submitted to the search engines, so some of them will not yet pull it up in searches.) Doorway page we've created that's also being submitted to search engines: http://www.GodSexApplePie.com/in.html

Please feel free to comment on anything, and while I'm not a professional web designer, I would be happy to reciprocate and review your site.

Please also note, this movie is rated 'R' by the MPAA and being released by Warner Bros., however there is no nudity on this website.
(But the sex survey there is perhaps a bit graphic, so please avoid that if offended by this sort of thing.)

Thank you very much for your thoughts!
JC

Nice site. I am not crazy about the black background. It makes the site seem... dismal as opposed to fun or feisty. The graphics are great, I love the handcuff thing. The film festival award graphics at bottom are very hard to read. You need to adjust the contrast so the text stands out more against the black background. I had to squint and get close to the screen to make out the awards you won.

Movie looks like a blast!

Thank you spamfilter, and Greg. You're right Greg, the film festival awards' readability is a problem. I never could get my web guy to get this right and it's always bugged me...

The site looks good but would agree with spamfilter kind of scares me to look at a site that contains God and Sex in the same sentence.

I noticed a functionality issue on your Buzz index page. Serious JavaScript errors: first with an onload call to an image preloading function, then there's a succession of errors with mouseover and mouseout events related to the changeImage() function call. I recommend that your webmaster turn on error checking with whatever browser(s) they use. I tested your site using IE and Opera, both with the same result. When errors occur using both, it's a certainty that they're occurring with all browsers.

Some folks don't know to try the masthead/logo to go back to the home page if there's no home button on pages deeper into the site. Having a home button on each and every page is just a concession to lowest common denominator.

I was so disappointed that I missed the sweepstakes. Everyone loves an opportunity to get free stuff. One of the things we encourage our clients to do is yank features that aren't up and running, and that's not just because we can nick them for a maintenance fee. Don't you risk alienating your visitor by enticing them and then disappointing them? Well, I certainly experienced that sinking feeling.
