Hi all,

I would like to run a web cam from my site
http://www.warragul.au.bz
showing inside a doorway and the street, of one of the shops in the town of Warragul. Vic , Australia

What would members say is the best program or way to run a web cam on the net? To start the cam would only be a refresh type image as a test and later maybe a streaming type image.

If anyone can help with this request and any other helpfull advice I would be very gratefull as I am fairly new to web cams.

Regards
Ivr

I'm not sure about recommending anything in particular, but this may help:

You probably have everything you need already.

I think Webcam32 is better than Windows Media Encoder, but you have to pay for it.

For more information see http://www.robertwisbey.com/how_to_web_cam_wc32.html

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your replies, I had a look at the encoder but it seems to be more for streaming so I might go for webcam32. If you have any tips or help I would love to hear from you

Any ideas for setting up webcam streaming from a Mac? W.M. is not terribly mac-friendly.

One word: Apple Quick Time!?
For mac, go here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qtss/

ivr, I don't understand. You say the goal is to stream your webcam , but then say WMP is more for streaming and is not what you are looking for!
