Couple Questions on Launching an Affiliate Marketing Program

I am going to be officially launching my affiliate program on Monday. Is this the best forum to make an announcement on Monday, or is there another section like Services that I should use to gather affiliate sign-ups?

Secondly, to get more affiliate marketing sign-ups, what are some things you would do when launching an affiliate program? I plan on posting on Craigslist and some other forums. I also plan on issuing a press release, but I was wondering what else you guys would do? Just want to make sure I cover all my bases.

I am using a program called Jrox to track affiliates for my website but I still have no idea on how to get affiliate sign ups.:confused:
