I find there is no one book that will give you the "Golden Answer." A combination of material mixed with the book of life experience should certainly be of value. There are so many books on the market and most of them assume the readers level of acknowledgement to be what ever may or maynot be. I don't think I'm allowed to recomend any products in this forum. I contend that you are in the right place for questions and answers. Here in this forum is much better than a book, because you can get diverse opionions on what ever specific topic. Ask direct questions and you'll get answers.

If you are very particular about SEO, then go with seobook.
If you have time and patience, then you can get all the required information at this forum itself.

I would suggest you read about marketing in general, online marketing as a subset of this and also SEO as a subset of Online marketing. All three subjects complement each other well and will give you the ability to use each more strategically and effectively. There is no 'one' book to encompass these. Even SEO itself is a vast enough field as it is.

Go for top IM forums like Warrior, Digital Point and WickedFire.. this one works too.. The trick is to remain focused and not be too carried away with the information overload.

SEOmoz . [ org ] is a great site to start off with. They have a great information base and I have used them for the longest. Keep up to date with information from mashable . [ com ] They also tell you about current trends as well as social media events to keep abreast of. All in all you should also run a query online and see what resources are fit for your liking as well.

Exactly, I would recommend you forums like webproworld.com because here you can ask questions, you can read blogs, we have sticky threads here for common guidelines. It is recommended over blogs and e-books because here you can actually find out the exact reason behind certain statements and it is verified by all other experts. So join good forums, participate into discussion and learn.
