My cousin just told me about a job he recently applied for online. It was a Sainsburies job and you could only apply via the online application. He did not hear anything for ages, when he did hear he was told that for months Sainsburies had been baffled as to why no applicants were meeting their criteria.
There was one question asking whether applicants were allowed to work in the UK. It turned out that the web application form was sending the answer no instead of yes for the question about working in UK, if the applicant put yes.
I thought it was a pretty funny web designer nightmare...especially had you secured such a commission to design for Sainsburies, what a classic **** up!
