So in a way it helps advertisers to basically it is to help all advertisers in google who are bidding on google adwords campaigns so known as a "competitive intelligence tool (http://www.keywordspy.com)"

Are you looking at free or paid keyword research tools?

If FREE, then go for DP keyword research tool. In case of paid, I would recommend Keyword Elite tool.

I agree 100%.
Keywordspy is the best tool to find keywords for a given product or market.
Technically it is not a 'keyword tool' but rather a competition analyzer.

Keyword Spy gives you the keywords that advertisers actually use to bid on in Adwords. Also it tells you all the keywords a site ranks for organically in Google!

However, you need to clean up these keyword lists after downloading them.
Some popular sites have 5000 keywords or more - many of them being very similar or even the same.

Also it is pretty expensive.
But for me it is worth the money.

SEO Elite is not a keyword research tool. It helps in SEO but not with keyword research.

Keywordspy has proven to be the best tool for harvesting keywords that I have seen. However it is not for finding those long tailed keywords for your site. Just a competition analyzer to see what they are bidding on. This helps you to possibly avoid those and look for niches they may have missed. Unless of course you are willing to go toe to toe with whoever your competiton is.

The free version is still useful but not as useful as the paid version.

Another VERY useful tool is Keyword Elite (http://fdd221vftbujjk04xw-9q02laa.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=KWELITEWPW). It seems a bit pricey but it is very effective. And like most of these products, you can get your money back if it doesn't work for you.

Did not you find that these keywords are very expensive and not very relevant to your website?

If you are looking for the paid keyword research then Keyword Elite is a better option.

Yes KeywordSpy is a very nice tool but it's pricy. I do subscribe their service time to time but I would also recommend the tool called "Micro Niche Finder".
