Hi,

I want to buy a domain and have worked out the price with the owner. Now comes paying him and switching over the account.

I know there are third party sites that do that so that I would pay them and they would get the domain from him and make the switch (for a fee of course).

Which ones do you reccommend?

Thanks.

I would use moniker.com

I have used them for a domain and I did get the domain (and the seller got the money).....

Domain Escrow Services - moniker.com (http://www.moniker.com/aftermarket/domain-escrow.jsp)

I have used https://escrow.com/index.asp a few times.

Good service.

I have had very good service with escrow.com and the site is intuitive.

Since you will be dealing, for purposes of transferring the registration, with 3rd parties in any case, I would advise that you let a 3rd party that is experienced in such matters handle all aspects of the transfer.

another big one in the domain market is Afternic.com.

Third party is the best bet... escrow is the only one I've had experience with but never heard anything bad about them and our experience was good too.

I used escrow.com to get a name from a very non-technical user. Their interface is very good.

well there are lot's of domain sellers availble in the market. The best of them are godaddy, name, namecheap. There are lot's of people those who got benefitted by buying domains over these demain sellers.

I have used escrow.com's service before for an approx $5,000 domain name purchase and I was very satisfied with their service in completing the transaction.
