Capturing Keywords Used at purchase/lead

I visited a site recently and on the contact us form they had "embeded" the keywords I used to find the site.

I can tell they used a PHP session ID, but not sure how that it done.

It seems like a good idea to do this. Is this also the concept of Google Adwords Analytics?
