I have spent some time going throught the site review forum and have found a few things that get under my skin... Namely lack of information.(Yes I know I'm big on informations namely poignant information.)

What is with websites today that forget to tell you anything about them or don't have any kind of reference page to past work or statements from past work.

If i'm going to hire a site for anything be it building me one to cleaning my rugs i want to know what is coming to me in the shape of a little work history and past experience.

We as humans research everything from what type of tooth paste to use on up to what to do with our money. Why not make it alittle easier on us and save us the trouble of having to root around for anything good said about you?

*Steps down off the soap box*

Too much info can be bad as well, we don't need to know their life from the day they were born, to which company's website they are building today.

But with a personal statement, how do you know it's true? A website may say "I worked for a large corporation producing all their graphics" when really, they didn't? This may influence you to hire them, rather than me who hasn't.

A physical address, name, and phone number are essential in my books. I do not do business with anyone who cannot be traced or held accountable for themselves.

A site would have to be stupid to post unprovable information. Personally I like finding the sites that say: "I worked for a large corporation producing all their graphics" That automatically gives me my first question: Prove It!! ;)

If they can back up what they say then they've got my attention, if they can't, I can promise that their name will end up all over and probably not the way they would like. I believe in the "tell a friend" theory. Tell a friend if it's good (trustworthy, etc.) tell ten if it isn't. :) Maybe that's why people tell me I make a good critic? hmmmm could be. ;)
