Greetings All,
I posted this question earlier and for some reason it's been inactive. Didn't recieve any moderator notification so I'll try it again.
Would like your opinion on whether YouTube is more beneficial than Google for generating trafic to your site? What do base your opinion on?

My simple answer is that it depends on what your site is about. Is that curcular logic?

I might have removed it because the question doesnt make much sense. One is a search engine and the other is a video sharing website.
Yes, probably the best solution. You may find the movie clip on Google.
Example: Search for
tecktonik
the new dance that started in Paris.
This
Tecktonik tck killer Dancing (http://www.tecktonikdancing.com/) (with a lot of YouTube videos on it)
is the first SERP hit below the WikiPedia hit and two YouTube hits.

It depends on the kind of your site. If you have product then I think youtube is the best to generate traffic but if your site is an information site or services then it would be better to get good ranking in google. And also it would be better to promote your site in youtube and get improved rankings in google because both of them will help you in terms of traffic.
youtube as a video viwer is better

This depends on what you are marketing. It is that simple, what is not simple is a cover all answer to this problem.
If what you are marketing is already mainstream and viral in nature, then youtube may be the ticket to success, But if it is the new brand of denture cleaner, chances are that youtube will not be as effective as keyword searches in Google.
You would not advertise a rock star in a gardening magazine, would you? Every product, service and business has certain ways to market that are best for them. It is our job as marketers to decide what is best, and test, test, test!

If you are marketing, then DO IT! You should be on both if you are relevant on YouTube.
