Has anybody had their Google Adsense cheques reversed?
I deposited a Google cheque way back in February and about 2 weeks ago my bank, FNB, phoned me and said that they had reversed the cheque due to Citybank “losing the cheque in transit”. Google does not want to reissue the cheque because they say it had already been banked. On top of it all my bank wacked me with a $10 reversal charge.
Google said it would follow up on the matter and will let me know … that was a week ago.
The same happened to one of my friends as well who banked a cheque round about the same time.

Is there anybody in the same boat and were to from here?

My bolding. I see your quotes in “losing the cheque in transit”

What do you exactly mean?
Whose responsibility is that?

I banked the Google cheque with First National Bank (South Africa) and they passed it on to Citibank here in SA. They subsequently passed it on to Citibank in NY I think ... it's during this transit that the cheque apparenly got lost. So I would reason it's Citibanks responsibility.

I don't know the legal rules in your country but that seems obvious to me if you can prove it.

I can't prove it.
It's what my bank told me and my bank was told this by Citibank SA.
So I hope Citibank will correct the mistake or hope that Google will reissue me with a cheque.
I emailed Google Adsense (UK) yesterday again but have not had any response as yet.
I hope I'll get my money back.

But isn't it possible to issue a new cheque and block the old one?

Google says the cheque has been banked that's why they will not reissue it.
I don't understand why they can't recall the old cheque and isssue me with a new one.

I have changed banks many times in the past ... they're all useless !!!

Don't you know the definition of a bankier?

A bankier is a person that loans you his umbrella when the sun shines and want it back once it begins raining.

Here in South Africa we don't have that service yet available. We only have the cheque option. However I believe Google has just opened an office here and I hope that the "direct deposit" option will be available soon.
I have emailed Google again 2 days ago and I still have not had a reply from them regarding the matter. It's been 3 weeks now in total waiting for an answer. UNACCEPTABLE !!!!

PROBLEM SOLVED ... this is the entry in my Google Adsense Payment History:

"May 30 Check stopped - earnings credited back"

Thanks Google !!!

PS: I suppose my bank will not credit me with the US$10 they slammed me with for the cheque reversal.
