I love Sidney Sheldon. He is just too awesome and the movie Nothing Lasts Forever is really a killer movie. A must see. But well it's really up to you if you wanna watch it though.
Dante: Divina Commedia (http://www.mediasoft.it/dante/):
Even if I have only written 1/3 of the book that was translated to our second language, "nynorsk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nynorsk)".
Must be great to read that book in the original language.
what was the original language anyways? any movie made out from it. I'll check it out.

Whats the latest or last movie out of his books have you watched? Think the movie Message in A Bottle was able to portray every word and emotion in the book?

I usually like the novel than the film when it happens that an author's book is made into a movie. Let's take for example, the movie Like Water for Chocolate. The novel by Laura Esquivel is very sensual yet the movie would appear a slapstick comedy. Any Shakespeare novel-turned-movie also somehow erodes the concept of aestheticism portrayed by his written works.

Unfortunately in Italy we must read parts of it at school: that makes it very boring and discourages everyone to try it ever again. :(

A River Runs Through It - The book was fabulous but the movie was much more emotional due to the scenery and expanse of the shoot in Montana. I actually love the movie over the book.

^ I've read the novel, the first part yeah... new moon, this weekend.
The movie is great tho some parts are missing if you read the book. Well for me, they still gave justice to it and right now, all I'm thinking is the live action of the 2nd book:)

Joanne Harris wrote "Chocolat," which was of course made into a movie starring Johnny Depp. Usually, the book is better than the movie but not in this case. The characters in the book weren't as likable as they were in the movie. I also like the ending in the movie better than the book as well.

Harry Potter books are timeless! I first read Harry Potter books 1-6 when i was in high school and i thought i liked it just because i was a kid back then who enjoyed magic and stuffs.. But when i read the Deathly hallows just this year (after 4 years in high school), i am still amazed by the world Harry and his friends lived in.. It's not just for kids; it's story reflects the realities of life like friendship, love, greed, sacrifice and even politics! But the movies are not just easily understood especially by those who haven't read the books!
