Within the past couple years I started thinking "maybe I can make even more money in the seo business by bartering". I was right. I was already using Craigslist.org to pick out free stuff. But then I started offering my web design and search engine optimization services in exchange for products and/or services.

So far I have bartered my services for exercise equipment, video game systems and games, desktop and laptop computers, lynda.com materials, fast food, automobiles, vacations, and the list goes on.

By bartering I not only have been able to better my lifestyle, but I have also gained new paying clients that did not have what I was looking for to offer, so they signed up and paid me for my services.

By bartering, I have even been able to better my credit. I bartered with a guy for single user tradelines and increased my credit score. That allows me to obtain better interest rates on my credit cards, increase my limits, and pay off old bad debt. Eventually it will allow me to purchase a home because with my new credit card leverage, I increased my score even more and paid off negative items on my report.

I have used my knowledge in web/graphic design and search engine marketing to better myself and my life. I am hoping that by posting here, I am opening someone elses eyes to the possibilities to better your future with what you now know.

Not to mention: barter = no sales tax, no income tax.

colussion, good idea and I am very curious how you managed to do this on CL without the rabid "anti spam" crowd getting every post you made booted of the site.

You know the ones I mean, those who see every post for services as spam no matter how it's worded or where it's posted on the site.
