Hello to One and All:

I have a question at I’m sure someone out there has the answer to it….

Where can one find a Quality E-Business hoster that has references???
I have found many firms claiming to “Have references” or making claims of “Being in business for X years”. That will not do, and the logic behind this statement goes without saying.

Our firm is actively seeking relocation and the hosting firm must have active references in product based e-business solutions.

Any suggestions, comments or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Also any hosting firm that meet these needs may contact me directly at bdavis@onlineartisan.com

On a side note: Any reviews for this site are welcomed . . . Site name: www.onlineartian.com

Thanking you in advance for your feedback regarding this request.

Sincerely,

mikmik

Hi, on line artisan.

I came across this little beauty a couple of weeks ago, and it has a HUGE database of server and webhosts listings complete with some of the most comprehensive reviews I have seen for a while.

http://www.webhostingratings.com/

I would mention my host, readyhosting, but I am not sure that it is exactly what you mean, and it doesn't have the best responce times for the support.

They got a fairly low rating here, actually (3 - 4 / 10), but the mentions of server responce time don't seem to jive with my test that I did, that indicated a responce time of 2.8 seconds, which is considered quite fast.

Good luck, I usually like to post links for all to take agvantage of in responce to requests in the forum.

You are welcome :o)

Was that good enough for your purposes?
Also, I don't have any problem with http://readyhosting.com and they ARE reliable, and very well established.
Just a year ago, in fact, they were listed in CNET's
"top 5 host's" quite regularily and were featured in PCmag.

They have support for every Db, pPHP, perl ODBC, Coldfusion, ASP, ASP.net, etc and have a free shopping cart and unlimited e-mails and BANDWIDTH!

They are very 'feature' rich, and I recommend them.
They also have a Streaming Media server.

I do reselling for Pair.com, and have had nothing but good experiences with them. The only possible drawback is that they are Unix servers only, which means no ASP.

I kind of figured something along those lines.
The host i mentioned is IIS win 2000k, and They were down for a couple of hours about three weeks ago, MyDoom I suspect, but other than that, in the last year I haven't ever noticed being offline for more than 1 minute at a time, and only rarely at that - however I am not big enough of a site to really notice.

I also remembered cyanide, my friend, who has hosting service at http://fxstudios.net who may be doing something with IIS, I am not sure yet, but he is a very good and helpful person, and I recommend getting in contact with him. In fact, I will point him to this post.

As Mike pointed out, the ratings sites are not always that great. They can be easily manipulated

I have used Hostway for a number of years, with no problems. And we actually resell the hosting but we are in the process of moving - only because I want to be able to provide more services to my clients without having to nickel & dime them.

No problem - good luck with the search. The only company that I would suggest to stay away from is CI host.
