View Full Version : Using keywords to optimise pages

Hi there

Having attained decent page rankings with Google, and wishing to maintain them, how do I now optimise my site for another search engine?

Having checked with Wordtracker the keywords with the highest KEI, required to optimise pages on Google, differ from those required, on say, Alta Vista.

How do I therefore insert keywords in my description and title tags; plus within the body of text on my front page, without upsetting my existing keywords used to optimise on Google?

I can only think I should duplicate my home page and then substitute the relevant keywords, for Alta Vista (in this example) and name it index2.htm.

However won't Google frown upon this accusing me of mirroring my home page in order to obtain more traffic on Google?

What advice can you offer me.

Thanks

Richard

Adding more keywords to your meta tags on the homepage will not "upset" Google. I wouldn't suggest mirroring your homepage.
