Employee Directory Button
Customer Database Search Button
Internal News Search Button
Search smarter with instant suggestions etc etc?

Google has always wanted to tackle indexing the invisible web. This is a step in that direction

I think for most of the features you list you have to have the Google Search Appliance (http://www.google.com/enterprise/intranet_search.html) installed on your intranet.
