I bought golfclubsnews.com and golfsecond.com. I'm a little confused why netsol would appraise golfclubsnews.com at only $230-455, but appraised golfsecond.com at $10,900-13,650. I realize that I'm not a golfer, but golfsecond doesn't make sense to me. Any comments? Thanks!

Also, does anyone here use nameboy.com for appraisals? Or estibot.com?

Where is the best place to sell domain names like these. It looks like the domains on Ebay go for almost nothing. It looks like a lot of them don't even pay for the registration fees and auction costs. I'm kind of hesitant to put findbargains.info on ebay for that reason.

Would appreciate your input. Chaz

Well, golfclubsnews.com isn't very memorable (it's the plural that creates the prob ... golfclubnews would work MUCH better) ... and golfdsecond.com might be more easily recalled ... that might be factored in to value, but I think those values are usually based on whether there are any links coming to them and how long the site has been around.

Did you check whether Yahoo or Google has backlinks to either of the domains?

You might want to check this thread on domain names for feedback on Nameboy (http://www.webproworld.com/ecommerce-discussion-forum/61631-website-finding-new-domain-names.html).

mj, thanks. I'm not familiar with how to check for backlinks. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks again. chaz

Type link:domainname.com into Google or Yahoo search bar ... I checked and neither reflects backlinks for these two domains ... you could also check the Internet Archives (http://www.archive.org/index.php) to see if these domains were active in the past.

Neither seem very good, I would search for something different
