Simple!
Maybe incorporate "magazine" under the logo. By itself the logo could surely be mistaken for just text.
If I came to your site without any knowledge of your magazine, I'd think that the logo was just a bit of text "welcoming" me to the web site.

Hello,
You have a great site design, as for the logo, it is simple and that is great but it lacks originality, it cann't be memorized and a customer may get it wrong in between other logos that have the same shape and colors.
