Hi,

I've had enough of Joomla for entry level CMS systems to the point where I've now written our own CMS that is much friendlier to use and easier to customise for 90% of the CMS jobs we get.

But we still need a good solution for a larger scale CMS requests.

Does anyone have any experience using packages that are:

* PHP based
* US$1000-$5000 in price range
* Easy to customise the look of including different designs/templates for Internet and Intranet sections
* Module based e.g we can purchase an E-Commerce plugin or a flexible Gallery component
* Allows insertion of PHP into the body of the pages e.g our own database feeds etc

Really want to hear from developers who use these things and who have had to customise and skin them with high level designs in a commercial environment.

Cheers,
Niggles

This is Open Source, but I do not know any better on the web, if you are concerned about quality code output: CMS Made Simple - Welcome to CMS Made Simple (http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/)

Hi,

Thanks for that - it looks good.

Have you used it on anything? My main desire in these sort of systems is to be able to easily use multiple templates and re-skin the look of components to match the styles the designers set for the website.

Cheers,

Hi,

Try MODx, simply the best.
