Malt vinegar is prevalent simply because it's cheap to make.

Takes me back to the days when Fish-n-chips were served and taken home in a brown bag drenched in malt vinegar and dusted wth salt. Back then (younger days) we'd partake once a week.
Today, they are pretty much the same and taste good, still greasy, a bona fide gut-bomb, but are taken home in a plastic bag - once every couple of months though.

If there is such a thing as being off topic in this thread, I suppose this is it...
@Clicken: remember index tabs? (Sea Terms demo (http://my.tenfingers.net/tutorials/sea-terms/)) You've had nearly a year to study jQuery, and I know you've done some pretty incredible stuff so far. You about ready to tackle making this into a full blown jQuery object that can be re-used and re-used even within itself?
What I envision is being able click things in the outer index that open up on pages that invoke it with their own index, be it one or twenty tabs, and those tabs able to open onto pages that can invoke it with their own tabs. This is as about as far as we would need to drill, but it need not stop here.
The same invitation applies to all jQuery aficionados who would like to join in on this quest. You get a free plugin for your efforts. We can start a thread in web programming at the hint of an interested party.

At the end of Angel's Landing you are about 1400' above the park floor. It is accessed via a trail with chain cables that goes up and along a narrow ridge.
The entire hike from the bottom to the top and back is about 5.2 Miles. The Landing is 1.4 Miles to the end and back. It took almost as long to do the Landing as it did for the entire rest of the hike.

OMGOSH JUMBO! how exhilarating,... I would never be able to do that,... in daylight,... acrophobia.
I hiked down Hermits Trail, Grand Canyon, at night no problem, La Dee Da. But going back up in daylight was very frightening. I had to crawl through some of the spots where the trail had been eroded by landslides and the drop was incredibly far. There was one part that had maybe 18 inches of ledge to crossover, so I though I would just stay in that canyon forever. I cried, like a baby. The 3 others with me reasoned that I had already crossed this before and could surely do it again, as long as I don't look down. The alternative they pointed out, was to stay there and starve to death,... unless a snake bit me first. Starving to death didn't motivate me like the snake bite did. Just thinking about that adventure gets my adrenaline pumping!

Looking back at the photos made me wonder, "What was I thinking?!?". Wouldn't trade the memories of sharing that hike with the kids for anything though. :O) I never really thought I was afraid of heights until a few years ago when I participated in a leap-of-faith challenge. We climbed up a 75' redwood, walked out on a plank, and had to jump for a hanging bar. We wore a climbing harness, but had to depend on the person at the bottom to be able to support our weight if we fell or as we jumped. That was a very scary moment, but I did it. :O) My oldest son was encouraging me on, how could I not?

Because the origins of it are unknown, and two different days are observed. However, whoever compiled this list somehow got screwed up, as the two dates are Jan. 19th and the day on which the Super Bowl is played, which will next be on Feb. 3rd.

Four guys have been going to the same fishing trip for many years.
Two days before the group is to leave, Ron's wife puts her foot down and tells him he isn't going.
Ron's mates are very upset that he can't go, but what can they do.
Two days later the three mates get to the camping site only to find Ron sitting there.
The tent is set up, firewood gathered, and dinner cooking on the fire.
"Geez Ron, how long you been here? How did you talk your missus into letting you go ?"
"Well, I've been here since last night. After dinner at home yesterday evening, I was sitting
in my chair and my wife came up behind me and put her hands over my eyes and said, 'Guess who ?'"
I pulled her hands off, and she was wearing sexy brand new lingerie.
She said had been reading 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and she had a devilish look in her eyes.
She took my hand and led me to our bedroom.
The room had candles and rose petals all over.
On the bed she had handcuffs, and ropes !
She told me to tie her up and cuff her to the bed, so I did.
Then she said, "Do whatever you want."

Why did the nearing, middle-aged guy decide to train for a 1/2 Marathon?
To escape the chicken that kept crossing the road back and forth. :O)
Seriously, I am training for one. Although, I'm not convinced most human bodies are made for such things. I have battled through two leg injuries now, and just wonder if I should be doing this? I know people form all walks of life have completed such a feat (and more), but at what price to their bodies?
Since, this thread is such a beautiful conglomeration of randomness and still quite a bit away from its goal, I figured I would open it up. So thoughts from my WPW friends?

Well I don't know if I qualify as one of your WPW friends , but I do have medical training and one of the most optimistic things I have heard in school was from my physiology professor in a lecture about muscles. Regarding the muscle fiber "it's potential is infinite" . Theoretically of course, but still....

the issue in your case is quite simple actually. Just figure out what you are willing to sacrifice (yes you read me right) for it. The muscle is just the engine, the most punished are always the joints, which unfortunately can't be trained (not really). So are you willing to go through with this at the cost of some replacement surgery afterwards or even during your training?

These thing start inside the head, It would seem that sometimes, some of us develop a need to do something above and beyond the daily plod. These things invariably have an emotional trigger.
Never start a war between your emotional and physical self . For example; If you develop a need to prove your flying skills, Do not jump of a tall building. . . . or, If your legs keep breaking - Stop kick boxing.

Being a single fellow and always Busy trying to only do doing the things I like to do (life goal), I find I have problems cooking. If for example I place an egg into a frying pan, I lack the restraint required to resist smashing it up so it cooks quicker.
I have developed a technique that evolves never washing up . . This means when I place an egg into the pan, I have to go and wash up a plate to put it on. . This is quite effective and enables me to extend the frying time, increasing the chances of a reasonable visual result.
Yesterday I was cooking some bacon and eggs, when I discovered that my water had been cut off. (panic). I do have some drinking water in the rainwater tank so I hastily grabbed a saucepan, filled it with water, then washed my plate . . .
WOW!. . The result was spectacular . . . I felt like taking a photo of the finished product. . The bacon looked crispy, the eggs were true sunny side up quality.
It seemed a shame to eat it without anybody other than me to admire the presentation. .

You cannot have someone just come along and say "One Million" That would be like me saying "I walked on the moon".
Someone might challenge me and say "When?"
I would answer "Last week"
They might ask tricky questions targeted at catching me out "How did you get there?"
I would answer "Bus".
They might get argumentative and say "there are no buses to the moon!"
I would have to be quick on my feet and state . . "Well . . . Not now, I took the last one. ."
And all the time members like St3ff3n are searching for meaning.
I have no clue what the meaning of anything is - but a post is a post

An exhaustive search of the database of the United Federation of Planets, including materials designated by Starfleet as being classified, finds no mention of a Harland David Sanders, aka Colonel Sanders, having addressed the question as to why the chicken crossed the road.
We suggest that you contact the Bynars to see if they might have something on this.

Hmmmm. Looks like it's from the Enterprise era not BSG.
Unlike ST, BSG FTL travel does not involve an actual motion between points A and B in the normal space continum, but rather a folding of the space continuum so that points A and B are contiguous, allowing the traversal to be effected by way of a short instantaneous hop or jump. Therefore, the concept of speed is inapplicable to the latter

SO. . If you crash into a planet ( by accident) When the cops come around and ask you "What speed you were doing?"
You can LIE!. .

So the term "Faster Than Light Drive" is really isn't true.
And when you think about it, what better a way to travel by moving space around an object rather than actually propelling the object through space. And what with Tillium being used for the "Jumps", what the heck are they using when just crusing? Shut the damn engines down and coast - save the Tillium guys!!

So the term "Faster Than Light Drive" is really isn't true.
It's a misnomer when used in BSG, but not in ST.
Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity does not preclude superluminal velocities in our time-space continuum, but only that we cannot observe such. His equations allow of there being a realm in which everything travels faster than light, where subluminal velocities cannot be observed. It is in this latter realm that ST vessels exist while engaged in FTL travel.

Last week I spent some time in Flagstaff. I was able to walk a few days in the morning and enjoy some 10 Deg F weather. Quite invigorating even though I looked like a blue marshmallow in my big blue jacket.
Also I am at my lowest weight in I don't know how long - 161.7, just about 40lbs lighter since last year.
My body and joints seems to be tolerating a run/walk method for the longer distances. Two Saturday's ago I completed 8 miles doing this. I ran 5 yesterday in 46:04. Not a world record, but feels good to be in the 9min./mile range.
Just thought I would share some semi-randomness and up the count.

I have decided to do the 1/2 Marathon (Half the Distance, Twice the Fun :O) ) and then go from there. I probably will not do a full marathon, but instead slowly increase my speed at shorter distances and maybe having fun competing in 5K/10K races.
