Are you saying that we here make no contributions that are the equal of or better than the plethora of tripe that populates other forums here?

6501

Hadn't thought of it that way, no. Guess in some cases we could call it the 'tripe count.' Was not aware, at the time, whom I was addressing... thought it was another newbie who was actually serious, as in the case of imadsawma, who appears to have been shown the door.

By 'real' I meant more than tripe, but then I'm guilty of spreading some of the stuff, too.

Sounds like that might be something like the Hatfield-McCoy feud (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatfield%E2%80%93McCoy_feud) here during the post-Civil War period (1878–1891). If so, that would most certainly explain your sentiments.

Said feud even has its own Juliet of the Mountains (http://www.blueridgecountry.com/archive/hatfields-and-mccoys.html).

Don't know that we have any truffles in Canada. If I recall correctly, they are found mostly in old growth hardwood forests in Europe, and require skilled pigs and handlers to locate and harvest them. They are some kind of fungus that feeds off the very old trees at root level. If we do have any in Canada, they would be in what very little, if any, old forest exists in the east, since there are virtually no substantial hard wood forests in the west. How we get such scrumptious bacon is a well kept secret among producers and packing houses. Must be from all the happiness they feel in the air.

Common bacon, or back bacon, comes from the pork belly.

So-called Canadian bacon, or side bacon, is cut from the loin, and is frequently unsmoked.

In BASIC, INKEY$ was in some versions a resident function that polled the keyboard buffer (one byte) once every 30th of a second. It would be null unless a key was pressed since the last poll.

INSTR() is a needle/haystack function call.

The statement loops until a key is pressed, which character is found in the haystack. Execution would then fall to the next line.

Well, let's have a look. " Or you got yourself too drunk. hehe..." Sadly, I used up all my turns at drinking already ALTHOUGH THE ONLY WAY TO TELL IS WITH A BREATHALYZER. For you are correct that I appear 'too drunk' but this seems to be my default setting and tests before and after I sobered up show that alcohol has zero effect on me. There was no statistically significant difference in my scores! I spent all that money for nothing, well I guess it gave me an excuse, *hic*, you shee.
You have jumped the number I know you guys were pulling shenanigans. When I saw that my post count had jumped 2 numbers I became suspicious so I had the lads come over and have a look. They found yours and deepsand's fingerprints on the numbers and upon closer inspection, two sets of footprints in the flower bed outside the tweet button! So, I am entirely unwilling to concede that I unknowingly jumped numbers now that the defense has shown cause for reasonable doubt. That leaves.....
I think you have seen a ghost image of the number Having shown the impossibility of two of the three hypothesis, that leaves me to conclude that the remaining explanation is the correct one - I must have indeed seen a ghost image of the number to wit: Bertrand Russell offered what he called "a form of Occam's Razor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_Razor)" which was "Whenever possible, substitute constructions out of known entities for inferences to unknown entities."
In fact I can prove that ghost numbers are real. No one has ever seen or taken a picture of a ghost number. That's because ghost numbers are invisible and that's what you'd expect. If you saw one, you'd know it was fake. Plus, tubby looks up in the top right hand corner of the reply box and copies that number, and guess what - I can't see the number either, it looks like there is no number in the upper right hand corner of my reply box! That means there is, you see!?!

IF I recall correctly it was Lucas that invented the trinary logic system with their two way light switches fitted to Early Austins (British cars). their On/Off switch incorporated /flicker-and-dim. thus leaving you with the three options on a two way switch. Later updated to incorporate a 'smoulder-and-burn' Thus superseding the trinary system.

It is well documented. .

I used to own one. It had a large basket on the front and if the basket was full the steering was difficult. The front wheels were 15 inch the rear wheels 27 inch. I built it myself when i was 16. The reason I built it was that I lived In Hampshire (new Forest) and we had a long lane-way to our cottage. The car tracks (Grass amd mud in the center) made two solid pathways and I used to pedal my bike up the lane-way to collect deliveries (some large)

I removed the basket from the front and moved it to the back - The only reason I put it at the front was I had built a framework to handle the steering and it was easy to plonk the basket on top of it. I disassembled it to make suit two people peddling (as my younger brothers legs grew) but never finished the project (Girls. . sigh!)

I could easily carry two full dustbins on the back! . .

What are you gonna build kgun ?
Time will show. I have children and have ambitions on their behalf. Finally my oldest daughter has started Word Press blogging without a clue about CSS and HTML.

Her son, 12 years old, sometimes beats me in chess. But he will not learn pgrogramming yet. He thought Python as I teached him was Pyhton, that is boring. They wan't action, online games.

To be more serious, I am looking for students that wan't to take a mater / PhD in computing. I have tasks for them. And when the installation is finished, I have a computer that they can use. Now I have three computers, Two is enough for me. And I prefer working on my more than 50 sites.

Recently I ordered four new domains.

The installation continues. Recently I am only installing C++Builder and Delphi XE. The first step collecting data is finished. The second step has started.

There are two steps left.
The documentation takes about the same time to install.
C++Builder XE and Delphi XE are only two of 5 components in the package.
In addition when you get an user account you will get the right to all of the older components that can have many good code examples.

I think there is code and documentation for a whole university.

But Denmark and Sweden are members. The polls shows that never has there been lower support for EU here, most probably because of the debt crisis. Obama is afraid that Greece will default. Should we become a member and pay for irresponsible economic policy in some EU member states?

Today I continue downloading code from Embarcadero. I download Gb's of code for the older platforms. Why? Most probably there are many good examples that is not present in newer versions. That was Borlands practice. It was so strict that you had to send back old disks to get the new update. With Embarcadero that policy has softened.

Etymology

A reversed spelling of the English word murder (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/murder). This word is most known from Stephen King's novel and/or movie The Shining; however, it has now appeared in rap (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/rap) songs as well.

and a bird, but the girl seem to dominate the google image SERPs. There are not many pictures of a bird on the first 10 SERPs.

I do not wan't pictures of a half naked woman when I search for hegre.

site:wikipedia.org hegre

not much better.

site:wikipedia.org gråhegre

is better.

So you have to be specific on hegre. hegre = heron is a category. Gråhegre is an explicite bird within that category.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&pq=site:wikipedia.org+gr%C3%A5hegre+&xhr=t&q=gr%C3%A5hegre&cp=0&client=firefox-a&hs=qXu&rls=org.mozilla:nb-NO:official&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1024&bih=629&bs=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi

Let us try the måke (seagull) category: http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kategori:M%C3%A5kefugler (incorrect with my poor knowledge about birds)

fiskemåke

is the most well known.

måke

http://www.google.no/search?tbm=isch&hl=no&source=hp&biw=1024&bih=629&q=m%C3%A5ke&btnG=S%C3%B8k+etter+bilder&gbv=2&oq=m%C3%A5ke&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=undefined&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=8287l8287l0l1l1l0l0l0l0l166l166l0.1l1

fiskemåke seem to give similar results to the måke (seagull) category

now try:
borgermester (gives a man sometimes with a black hat (is geist the correct English word?))

http://www.google.no/search?hl=no&gbv=2&biw=1024&bih=629&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=borgermester&btnG=S%C3%B8k&oq=borgermester&aq=f&aqi=g1&aql=undefined&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=6307l9366l0l12l12l0l4l4l0l226l1344l0.6.2l8

måkefugl borgermester (no better / confusing)

gråmåke
hettemåke
dvergmåke
krykkje
grønlandsmåke
sildemåke
svartbak

Svartbak is the biggest. Sildemåke is like a small svartbak but there is an imporatant difference. A sildemåke has yellow feet, while a svartbak has black feets.

Fast research conclusion done in minutes:

hegre: confusing image results
måke: seem to give the result for fiskemåke
måkefugler (the seagull category): confusing

There is big room for improved Wikipedia pages and Google image results.

And I am an amateur since I wanted to study ornithology, but ended up studying economics and chaos (nonlinear) mathematics.

For the future researcher:
There are obvious (human created?) chaos on se SERPs in june 2011 or could the mathematical algorithms be improved?

Should the search engine Google concentrate on improving their search engine algorithms in stead of advertising their browser on their site? At the end of the day, the effect may be worse than the MS default installed IE browser. Will they ever be able to produce a better - more secure - browser than the Opera browser?

I could have asked Wikipedia myself, but prefer to ask an American. So the term has many interpretations.

Which did you think of deepsand?
My introduction to it was by way of the film version of The Shining, directed by Stanley Kubrick, and starring Jack Nicholson.

Yep. Owing to the tilt of Earth's axis relative to the plane in which it circles the Sun, it regularly varies throughout the seasons, being highest and lowest at the Summer and Winter Solstices, respectively.

I wonder how far north or south from the equator one would have to be, to notice the tilt in the axis?

It just depends which end of the goose it's coming out of. Drivel would be running off at the beak, fluff would be the little tuft of feathers around the tail, and tripe would be dropping on the ground. As for bookkeepping value, I'd say they are all about par.

Butting in... Hi Clicken. Just had to check the Wiki for some history:
T-shirt - History (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-shirt#History)

I'm pretty sure they were white. But miners, et al probably wore a variety a colors, according to what was cheapest, and what local mills were churning out. Things today are a totally different story, in terms of the commercialization of the t-shirt. This has changed everything.

The best t-shirts still come from a men's wear store (if you're a man) and usually run in the 30 to 50 dollar range for one that wears (fit and finish) as well as it lasts, for as long as it lasts, which for me has been many years. Cheap is just that, cheap. So my vote goes for 1. white and 2. not cheap.
