Also kinda sad that Charles Coulomb formula affecting you so drastically...
F = k (q1 X q2) / d2

In this age of economic imperialism there is no countermeasure to market flooding that will work, or have any long term effect. The wheels have been in motion for far to long. China has the world by the stones, and 'she' knows it. Tariffs only work if one's own country has competing infrastructures, which we all know, noone has, anymore--not to the extent that China has.
Due to rampant consumerism and ready willingness to turn to the cheapest price rather than best quality our country's manufacturing infrastructure is practically non-existent, no matter what the GNP or GDP might suggest. We cannot stop importing or our shelves would be bare of consumer goods, which, owing to their poor quality, will always be in need of replacement.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
Thomas Jefferson
A bankier is compared to a person that loan you an umbrella when the sun shines and will have it back as soon as it starts raining.
Now China is more and more becoming the USA's bank.
It is my personal view, even if your last months trade balance with China woresened at a decreased rate, and you will end up as "Chimerika", the USA have to solve the currency rate problem with China.
P.S.
I should stop moralizing. According to WikiLeaks leaks and former US ambassador Benson Whitney to Norway:
We don't stand critiques.
We have a bad job moral.
We are selfish moralists.
We blame others.
We are a loose canon (like kgun:lol:)
It is told that Whitney will most probably not get a christmas card from our Foreign Minister Jonas Gard Støre. When Støre was asked if he would soften his critique of the USA he told, sooner the contrary. He would be more explicite.

Excess capital that is IMO partly "stolen" from you via an undervalued currency. You can take some of that money back via a devaluation of the USD versus the Yuan.

Is it not the case that the US is China's investment bank?
Yes as far as I know they even buy your houses.
The point was that China is dependent on the US for being able to invest its otherwise idle capital.
Unless and until they are able to dramatically increase domestic demand for their goods, not only are they dependent on exports to generate income, they are also unable to significantly increase domestic demand for capital.
6079
But their trade policy is more equal to classic mercantilism
Mercantilism is an economic theory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_theory), thought to be a form of economic nationalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_nationalism),[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercantilism#cite_note-econlib-0) that holds that the prosperity of a nation is dependent upon its supply of capital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_(economics)), and that the global volume (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_economy) of international trade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_trade) is "unchangeable". Economic assets (or capital) are represented by bullion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullion) (gold, silver, and trade value) held by the state, which is best increased through a positive and healthy balance of trade (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balance_of_trade) with other nations (exports minus imports).
The theory assumes that wealth and monetary assets are identical. Mercantilism suggests that the ruling government should advance these goals by playing a protectionist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protectionism) role in the economy by encouraging exports and discouraging imports, notably through the use of subsidies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subsidy) and tariffs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tariffs) respectively. The theory dominated Western European (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Europe) economic policies from the 16th to the late-18th century.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercantilism#cite_note-econlib-0)

China's US holdings are overwhelmingly US Treasury bonds. The rate of return is conservative; but, it's stable, and very much more than that to be in China.
6081.
Of course, I know that.
But what are the risks if you don't stop the debt accumulation and end up like Greece, that some US economists mean you are well on the track to (http://www.percentilebands.com/#david-stockman).
I see your internal imbalance mainly as a result of overconsumption and the burst of the housing bubble. I see your external imbalance mainly as a result of an overvalued USD versus your trading partners. The J-curve effect is well known if a country devalues its currency because of balance of payments problems. Because imports are larger than exports, the short term effect of a devaluation is negative. This negative effect is bigger the bigger your import surplus is. It takes time for import and export to adjust to the new relative prices.
I know that you may be critical to a Norwegian writing this because we have one of the worlds largest national income per capita. There was a Tv program about Swedish and Norwegian soldiers (most of them farmers) were called in for war in the 1700. They had a big party and then returned home denying to fight. I like that story.
The same happened when the union with Sweden broke in 1905. Swedish and Norwegian workers denied to shoot on each other.

The primary effect would be the massive amounts of soot driven into the stratosphere from massive urban blazes. Assuming that it were the present nuclear arsenals involved, with most targets in the sub-tropics, the areas most affected would be North America and Eurasia; the Southern Hemisphere would be relatively unaffected.
Given that food production in the affected areas would plummet, there would be great pressure on many to migrate southward. Given sufficient mass migration, there would undoubtedly be an increase in the rates of both deforestation and industrialization below the equator.
Mankind would surely survive; civilized man, most likely. But, in a brand new world order.

Well Not that Sad . . It would be far sadder If we empowered Chickens to cause these disasters.
It is still cause by man as we rear them that results in disasters.

Personally; I blame the vegetarians. If they spent more time eating chickens this whole horrible texas catastrophe would probably never have happened.
If Pigs ever start causing catastropic disasters . there will be another group that is going down!

Be cool my friend. It is not the chick is no longer responsible but just that human is the root for the cause. If we do not rear chickens, then this would not have happened.

Remember the days of 'mad cows' disease? It is a disaster and we humans are still the root of the problem caused.

Having evolved as animals, should it surprise to learn that we still behave as such?

Perhaps; assuming that you've correctly identified the creature in question as being a chicken.

HUH . . It must be a chicken! .
Who ever heard of destruction being caused by a corned beef, cheese and tomato sandwich.
The world can not trust creatures that taste good. . and that's a fact!

Sometimes it is hard to change when it comes to habit. It is a lesson yet to be learnt when we do something wrong.

Yes, I am not saying you are wrong about the chicken. I am just saying that we have to take the responsibility for its happening as well.

We are always evolving and learning good & bad stuff. Wondering when we will be able to live in harmony with one another and doing the 'right thing' for environment and other stuffs for PEACE.

Huh! Why would anybody wish to 'open a mind' . . An open mind is Like living in a dustbin during a raging Cyclone five miles out at sea, searching for a dustbin lid that floats!
A closed mind is like a warm fire on a cold winters night. Your favourite wooly jumper and your old rocking chair. A cup of tea with a nip of scotch wearing your old wooly bedroom slippers.

ELMA TURL
(Mike Cross)
Elma Turl is a beautiful girl, and I'd love to have her for my wife,
She's just the kind of woman who could make me happy for the rest of my life
My daddy said, "Son, there's something you don't know, and it's something I think you oughter
Elma Turl is a beautiful girl; but son, she's my daughter."
Alice Green is a beautiful thing, and I'd love to have her for my wife,
She's just the kind of woman who could make me happy for the rest of my life
My daddy said, "Son, there's something you don't know, and it's something I think you oughter
Alice Green is a beautiful thing; but son, she's my daughter."
Well, I've been all around the whole durn county, like a buck huntin' for a doe,
But it seems every girl I'd like to marry is a wild oat Daddy sowed
So I went to my mama with my head hung down, and she asked me what the matter could be,
I told her my problem and she took my hand and said, "Son, now listen to me."
"You see, your daddy was such a good-lookin' young man, and like an eager young stallion horse
His blood ran hot, so you can't blame him for lettin' Mother Nature take her course
But you got no reason to be upset; don't you worry, don't fret, don't bother
You see, your daddy ain't your daddy, he only thinks he is; so you can marry whomever you wanter.
