Stutter

Hey all:

I was hoping I could get some advice and suggestions here. I am starting a podcast devoted to the topic of stuttering. My buddies and I are calling each other using Skype and then recording the conversation with either Hotbox or Garageband.

Is there a program or a way that I can play sound effects and music during the podcast so that my buddies on Skype can hear it and so that it is recorded as well?

Thanks in advance!

you could always add the sound effects afterwards... if you have Sony Vegas7 - That's what we use for our podcasts... :)

Also I have a client who's a semi- famous comedian (had a show on HBO etc..) he stutters all the time... and the minute he steps on stage - it's completely gone! Crazy I tell ya!

Thansks so much for the suggestion.

It is very common for a stutterer to not stutter when he or she is acting. Take James Earl Jones or Bruce Willis for example. These guys can stutter up a storm, in fact, James Earl Jones quit speaking for a time in high school because of his stuttering. There is something about acting, taking on anothe role, that tends to greatly decrease stuttering. This may be related to when a person sings or speaks in an fake accent and does not stutter.

The more one learns about stutteirng, the more questions there are!

thanks again.
