What is sortOrder [Archive]

Hi, everybody.

I'd like to ask a question regarding ROR sitemap.

I wonder, how to estimate and calculate, what values to put between the <sortOrder> and </sortOrder> tags in the ROR sitemap file?
Looked through some sitemap generators. But they seem to create ROR sitemaps with their own logic concerning the <sortOrder> issues.

Please can anyone tell me, what digits should I insert into these tags, for which pages, and what it depends on?

ROR sitemaps are worthless. Don't waste your time. Use a sitemaps.org sitemap which is fully supported by all four major search engines.
