Good day All,
I've been living with our Logo Insert image:http://www.webcertain.com/p_graphics/webcertain_logo.giffor a few months and I would appreciate any comments, as it's now difficult for me to judge it. Your opinion about the background of Webcertain site (http://www.webcertain.com) would be equally very welcome.
Many thanks

I think it would be better without the bigger sphere inside the C, other than that, it looks good to me

The use of the bubble in the C, and as the o in com, is part of a total site concept. As so wonderfully done, you've placed whatever you desire in the bubble, or adorned other elements with an eye-catching bubble. The application of a calming color standard, and adherence to it, is great. The overall look and feel is very tight and pleasing. The site and the logo are inextricable. This is like an award winning site in some top graphical design category. Why would you really want to change the logo?

Thanks Tikanet, Our web designer will blush in a minute :-)
drob4481, don't you think that the logo without the bigger bubble inside the C would look "naked"?

Maybe it would, but what if you made the bubble just a tad bit smaller inside? just my opinion-derek

Hi Derek,
By smaller, you mean the size of the other bubble (in com)?

Don't change a thing! Your logo design ties in nicely with the remainder of your very attractive site.
You might want to let "Bobby" check out your website. I couldn't find any ALT descriptions.
Here is the URL:

Don't get discouraged..my site failed miserably!

Hi Najoba, thnk you very much indeed! "Bobby" is really useful, I was using the html validator from w3c (http://validator.w3.org/url) but Bobby is far better, and gives more information :-)
By the way, I've failed big time :-( , but we're really busy at the moment and as always, it's clients' sites first..

It's a good logo but there are two points of interest. Remove one, and you've got yourself a very good logo...
...the website is already quite "bubbly"....
Just MHO... :)

Hi Chris,
So we should replace the bubble in com by a normal o?
We'll give it a try..

Hi
I must admit to not initially liking the bubble inside the C but having seen your webpage feel that it is very appropriate and integrates well.

Hi Ellar,
Thanks for your comment. The logo without the bubble looks really naked, so I think we'll stick to the original one.. Do you think there's too many bubble on the pages of the site?
Cheers,

Hi Webcertain
I went and had a look at the website. It looked really good.
Just a couple of things. I must admit that I found all the bubbles a little much. But that is just my personal opinion.
The other thing is that when I went and had a look at the web site health check I couldn't find a price for it ... just that I would be sent my report and invoice by email. As I could not find a price for it decided to go no further. It is the one thing that I have found that puts most people off a decision and hence have now included prices on all my websites .. even if it is just an general estimate and to email me further for a detailed quote.
Apart from that I was really impressed and wish I could build a web site that looked this good. Hopefully in a couple of years time with more practice.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers

Thank you very much Ellar for your encouraging comments. Webcertain site will be reviewed this week, as we finally managed to secure some time for our own websites :-)
Good luck for your sites,
Cheers,

Oups I nearly forgot,
for your raised bed gardens (http://www.raisedgardens.co.nz/), it would be very helpful if you could implement a few key-worded text links (like the one above) as it would help the visitors to navigate through your site (and it would help to get your inner pages indexed ☺).

Hi Webcertain
Thanks for that .. the site is undergoing a complete rebuild. I am going over to dreamweaver CSS so will have a nav bar instead of button links. When i built the page just over a month ago I had no idea how to build a nav bar so had to go with buttons.
If I can work out how to do it without resorting to CSS I will update it tonight .. perhaps put them down the bottom of the page.

I agree with Chris -- that one of those bubbles needs to go. Otherwise I think its good. It does have a very Mac OS X aqua feel to it -- is that intentional?

Hi gsdickson,
the similarity with Mac OS X is a pure coincidence..

As mentioned several times before, I think the bubble in the '.com' should go. The larger bubble carries the logo fine. The second bubble looks too forced. Very nice site by the way.

Hi Grease,
Logo without the 2nd bubble:

Hi Webcertain
I have to admit to liking the new version that you have submitted without the bubble in COM. The only problem I have with it is that the COM now looks like it is all different sizes. Of course it may just be my eyes

Hi webcertain,
Yes, that looks better. Ellar is right, the 'O' looks a little large.

But you don't think the colours are unbalanced now?

No, not at all. There appears to be equal weight black and blue. Plus the bubble in the 'C' creates a nice transition between the two colours.

Logo looks good, why not move and reduce the word com to the right and have to dot the same size as the 'o' in 'com' above the 'i' where it should be. This, I think, will be less complicated and give the same effect. Only this will read as the viewer will type in the url.

However on my Mac osX running camino the whole page falls apart the navigation doesn't work, there is tons of white space at the bottom of the page that just scrolls forever.
Like the logo though I would just make the big bubble in the c a bit smaller as someone else suggested

Hi Kimber,
Thanks for the tips, we're working under windows but we'll try to modify the page for Mac OS X (and opera as well)

Nice concept. I liked the idea and the color combination too. I think stick with both the bubbles, one in C and other in .com. Also its very well going along with the theme of the whole site.
Good Luck!

Thanks CrimsonLink for your comments, after long deliberation we will keep both bubbles, the main reason being the balance of the graph.
Cheers :-)
