Changing Hosting Companies & Search Rankings

I want to change hosting companies but I am not sure if I should. My website is ranking good on google and yahoo. If I change hosting companies will my website rankings drop? Does it matter if you change hosting companies or not? Does Hosting companies and SEO have anything to do with each other? Can anyone help me![/b]

I've changed hosts 4 or 5 times this year and not suffered any drop in rankings for multiple sites.

Here is how to do it.

Set up your next hosting account

Upload files to the new server

Change DNS settings at domain registar

Once the site is hosted on the new server take down the other server.
