pop up menus in fireworks/dreamweaver

Hi
My client wants drop down menus across the top nav bar. I am using the popup/dropdown menus in fireworks and they work beautifully when I preview in the browser directly from the graphic, however, even after following the directions from the tutorial exactly (I think) the menus do not work from the page.

Can anyone help me over this hump? Here's the page so far.

when i loaded the page in IE6, got a couple of errors but i believe the cuplprit will be the error message: Line 44 char 1 object does not support this property or method other than that.. not knowing exactly what you did.. I can't say much.... to my untrained eyes, it looks like you are trying to run two separate javascript menus in one frame.... instead of building the drop menu from an existing link you built it separately. I don't think it will work that way.. somebody more experienced might come along soon and see a solution.

I havent't looked at the code exactly but I can tell you that if you are trying to display DHTML layers they cannont overlap frames.

One of my friends had the same problem. The page he made worked on his browser but not when uploaded. The problem of course was that he forgot to upload the file fw_menu.js to the server. Make sure you have uploaded that file and that the permissions are set correctly if you are using a UNIX server. If in doubt and there is no security involved, use 755 (rwxr-xr-x). Hopefully this should solve your problem.

Hi there!

i'm new on this webboard! i would actually like to know how to make the pop-up menus to be infront of the other layers! i had made the main menu to float on the frame, but the pop-up menus tend to appear behind the other layers on the frame...

can somebody please answer me!
