backlinks and coldfusion sites

This might be a dumb question - I'm doing SEO work on a site written in ColdFusion. When I check the backlinks for the site as a whole, I get numbers from Google, Yahoo and MSN that are more or less consistent from month to month.

However, when I check backlinks for *any* of the inside pages, I always get the exact same number. For example if in Yahoo I get 10 pages linking to any one particular inside page, I'll get 10 pages linking to *every* inside page, no variation.

I haven't seen this on any of the other sites I've worked on so I'm thinking it's perhaps due to the pages being .cfm includes?

Search engines do not care what programming language you use as they never see it. They only see the HTML it produces.

Also don't put much stock in these site: or link: operators as they are not an accurate tell of what is going on in the real index of each search engine.
